Luffy shot down from the sky, his limbs stretching and snapping back with an unyielding force, the wind whipping around him as he grabbed hold of Y/N. With a swift, almost reckless motion, he reached out and snagged Vivi as well, her trembling form pulling into his embrace.
"Luffy...! Pell...!" Vivi's voice cracked, a mixture of fear and desperation tearing through her words. Her small hands clutched tightly at the fabric of Luffy's shirt, her knuckles white with the strain. The cacophony of battle-the clashing of swords, the explosions, the shouts of warriors locked in combat-reverberated through the air, a violent soundtrack to the chaos surrounding them.
"The palace square-it's going to blow up any moment now! Chaka and the others... they've already fallen! My voice, it... it won't reach anyone! I can't save my people, I-" her words faltered, her voice choking on the weight of it all.
But Luffy's voice cut through her panic, sharp and confident. "Don't worry," he interrupted her, his tone steady, almost casual in the face of the impending disaster. His grin stretched wide across his face, full of assurance, the unwavering confidence that only Luffy could radiate. "Your voice reached us just fine!"
Vivi blinked up at him, her tear-filled eyes widening in surprise. She hadn't expected this. Her fingers tightened their grip on his shirt, and for a moment, more tears spilled over, falling against Luffy's chest. Y/N, watching it all, smiled softly, offering a quiet, unspoken reassurance of his own.
As they touched down on the scorched ground, Pell's strained voice called out, "Be careful, Luffy!"
Luffy barely registered the warning, his mind already set on the fight ahead. "I ate a ton of meat! I'm full of surging blood!" he declared, his arms starting to spin, faster and faster until they became a blur. His determination was tangible, burning in the air like a fire that refused to be quenched.
Y/N, settling down on the ground with a weary smile, glanced up at Luffy. "Luffy... kick the living hell out of him now, will you?" he said, his voice low but filled with trust, even as he laid back, exhausted from the relentless battles.
Luffy turned his eyes skyward, locking onto the figure of Crocodile, who stood above, sneering down at them with contempt.
Luffy's grin sharpened into something fiercer, more dangerous. "I won't lose anymore!" he declared, his voice loud, clear, and utterly unshakable.
Crocodile's gaze darkened, his cigar clenched tightly between his teeth. "How the hell did he escape from the quicksand with those wounds...?" he muttered, biting into the cigar harder in frustration.
From the distance, Chopper's frantic voice pierced the air, panicked and raw. "AGHHH! Luffy's alive! AGHHH! Y/N's not!"
"Tony!" Vivi spun around, her voice filled with both relief and worry.
