Nami's voice rang out, sharp and exasperated, cutting through the oppressive heat. "Can you please stop panting like that, Luffy!? Just hearing it is exhausting!" she shouted, her face twisted in frustration as beads of sweat glistened on her forehead.
Luffy, dragging his feet sluggishly through the scorching sand, let out a pitiful groan. "Ughh... I'm roasting alive... Can't even sweat anymore..." His voice was hoarse, his usual energy drained by the relentless desert heat.
"I hate this! The heat's messing with my wind," Y/N groaned, wiping at his brow, feeling the suffocating warmth press down on him like a heavy blanket.
From the back, Chopper's small voice echoed the group’s misery. "I'm done for... The cold is fine, but this heat... it's unbearable," he whined, his little legs struggling in the thick, hot sand.
Usopp, walking nearby, gave him a sympathetic glance but couldn’t resist teasing. "It's ‘cause you're so fluffy. Maybe take off your fur coat?" he said, his brows furrowed in mock seriousness.
Chopper’s eyes blazed with indignation, and in an instant, he transformed into his hulking monster form. "Are you making fun of me just because I'm a reindeer!?" he roared, towering over Usopp.
"GYAAA! MOOONSTER!" Usopp screamed, scrambling backward, his arms flailing wildly.
"Chopper, seriously," Zoro’s deep, annoyed voice called out, "I'm not pulling you if you turn big like that."
Meanwhile, Sanji cast a glance at Vivi, who appeared oddly unfazed by the desert’s wrath. "You seem to be holding up pretty well, Vivi."
With a calm smile, Vivi responded, "Well, I was born and raised in this country. I’m used to it."
Usopp, gasping as he trudged through the endless dunes, glanced up in dismay. "Man, what is up with all these hills! It's like I'm hiking a mountain here..."
Vivi adjusted her headscarf and nodded toward the distant dunes. "This desert is ancient. Some of the larger sand dunes here can reach over 300 meters high."
"T-Three hundred meters!?" Usopp nearly choked. "I thought this was a desert, not a mountain range!"
Luffy, who had been dragging behind, suddenly brightened as he pulled out a flask from around his neck. "Water..." he murmured, unscrewing the cap with shaking hands.
"Remember, Luffy," Nami scolded, eyeing him sternly, "just one gulp, enough to moisten your throat!" But the moment the flask touched Luffy’s lips, he gulped down mouthful after mouthful, his cheeks puffing out like a squirrel.
"THAT’S WAY TOO MUCH!" Nami and Y/N roared in unison, delivering synchronized punches to the back of Luffy’s head, forcing him to spit the water out in a fountain-like spray.
"Give me some water!" Usopp shouted, shaking a fist at Luffy. "You just drank like 13 gulps!"
"No way!" Sanji butted in, glaring at Usopp. "You had your turn already—I'm next!"
