Chapter 1

"Get up, stupid omega!"

Jisung was so tired from the night before having cleaned the whole pack alpha's house to make sure the party they were going to have this weekend wasn't going to have any speckles of dirt seen. The pack alpha, Dorian, was a young 20 year old who did not hesitate to put omegas in place. He loved the submission they showed and longed to find an omega for himself. He didn't want any of the ones at Red Moon until Jisung presented at 18. Only then did the pack alpha decide he wanted to take a chosen mate for himself, but he had to wait for Jisung to turn 21 as that was a rule within their pack.

Once you turn 21, if you have not found your fated mate, you may take a chosen mate instead, but your chosen also has to be 21.

"Get up or I'll make you, and you won't like what I'll do, omega." Dorian said with a hint of darkness in his eyes.

Jisung quickly got up from his thin mat, stood still staring at the floor, afraid to look the alpha in the eyes.

Dorian loved the power he held over Jisung. He grabbed a fist full of Jisung's hair, yanked his head up and brought his lips to Jisung's neck, and whispered, "I can't wait to make you mine." After hovering at his neck for a minute, smelling the wonderful strawberry scent, he let go of Jisung's hair and told him to clean up for the guests that would be arriving in the evening. He wanted to make sure they felt welcome. Dorian left the room, and Jisung did his best to hold his tears.

Felix woke up with a start. Breathing hard, he murmured "Just another nightmare." Ever since his and Jisung's parents got caught trying to leave, Felix has had nightmares of what he witnessed that night.

Flashback:
Because Jisung and Felix were showing signs of being omegas, both parents wanted to escape to give their children a better life because they knew being an omega in Red Moon would be a living nightmare for them. Once a guard figured out they had passed the territory lines, the Pack Alpha sent warriors to fetch both families. Upon getting caught, the alpha placed the parents under arrest and sent them to the musty cells to await their punishment. As for Jisung and Felix, they got put on cleaning duties at the pack house and they stayed in a small closet until further notice.

The next day, everyone in the pack was called out to the middle of the clearing to witness the death of Jisung and Felix's parents. They were told that the parents were traitors and wanted to escape to the city to have the pack wiped out by another stronger pack. The young boys of only 14 were trying hard not to cry for their loved ones as they knew what was said wasn't true. Within the blink of an eye, an order was given, and the parents of the young boys were brutally mauled in front of their eyes. Unable to hold back the tears, Jisung and Felix held onto each other, hoping that it was all just a bad dream and that when they woke up, their parents would be right there to comfort them.

End flashback

Felix huffed a breath at the horrible memories. "We really need to get out of here and soon." Felix and Jisung were finally of age at 18, almost 19 now, and they had wanted to leave, but they were too afraid of what would happen. Felix was hoping that Jisung was doing alright on his own since he hadn't been home the past couple of days due to Jisung staying in the pack alpha's house cleaning for the party this weekend. Felix was stuck cleaning the outside area of the pack alpha's house and around the pool, definitely not his favorite thing to do, but he got up from the soft bed, stretched out his sore limbs, and walked outside the small cabin that was left by his parents. He breathed in the fresh air and exhaled, trying to get his thoughts under control. He missed his mate so much.
