After Joyho made it back through the line of trees that separated the city and forest, he grabbed his phone, which somehow didn't fall from all the moving he was doing. He dialed Beta Thom's number, hoping it wasn't too late to call, and he picked up on the second ring.
"Joyho? Is everything okay?" Beta Thom asked.
"No," he paused. "We found Jisung and Felix, but.." He trailed off looking for the right words.
"Well, that's good, isn't it?" Thom questioned.
"It would be, but they are with other alphas." Joyho took a deep breath, "Jisung found his soulmate tonight."
Silence filled the other line. "Shit." Thom had quite a few questions running through his head, but the first one probably should've already been asked when he answered the phone. "Where is Alpha Dorian? How is he handling it?"
Joyho didn't want anyone to freak out, but he needed help. "Beta Thom, please don't tell anyone else, but Alpha Dorian is unconscious."
"What?" Thom was confused. What the hell happened, he thought.
"When Alpha Dorian saw that Jisung found his soulmate, he didn't believe it. He still thinks he is Jisung's Alpha." He sighed. "He stormed up to the group and started a fight. It was 5 to 3, and they definitely got us with their strength. They are much stronger than they look, but.." He trailed off, not wanting to say the next part. "They killed Dameon."
Thom's eyes widened. "They killed him?!" He yelled.
"Yeah, I have him and Alpha Dorian here at the treeline, but I can't carry them both to the pack. I'm not leaving Dameon's body for someone else to find." He sighed.
"I'll send someone." Thom said. "We'll make them pay, Joyho, don't worry."
Joyho grunted in response and hung up. He sat on the ground, leaning against a tree stump, hands holding his head. What have we gotten ourselves into? He thought.
If those stupid omegas didn't run away, Dameon would still be here. Those damn alphas killed my best friend! Then again, if I had a soulmate, I'd kill someone for trying to harm them, too. I know Dorian is hell-bent on getting Jisung back, but I couldn't care less about his play things. I just want my friend back. Dorian was lost in his thoughts when he heard a twig snap, bringing him back to the fact that he was in a dark forest.
He looked up to see a figure in the moonlight, which turned out to be one of the warriors from the pack. Joyho stood up and walked to him.
"You need some help, Joyho?" Beta Rex called out.
Joyho nodded, "Yeah. Did you bring anyone else with you?"
"No, Beta Thom didn't want anyone else to know what happened yet. He figured he'll let Alpha Dorian handle the pack after he wakes up." Beta Rex replied. "Do you want me to get Dorian or Dameon?" He asked.
"I'll get Dameon." Joyho said. And went to pick up his fellow Alpha.
Rex walked to Alpha Dorian and picked him up with ease. Rex may only be a beta, but he's as strong as an alpha. He works tirelessly on training the warriors of Red Moon Pack, and he does a damn good job. Joyho will have to make sure he is on the team when they go up against those alphas again because they definitely will. Someone will pay, and Joyho will love every second of revenge.
Once Rex and Joyho got to Alpha Dorian's house, they laid Dameon's lifeless body on the couch while Dorian got placed in his bed. Beta Thom had called the pack doctor when he got off the phone with Joyho and told him to be at the Alpha's house as soon as possible.
