Chapter 3

Felix and Jisung packed their bags that evening. Jisung was so worried about getting caught that he didn't pack much. What was the point if Alpha Dorian was going to catch them? His sweet strawberry scent turned a bit sour at the terrible thoughts running through his head.

Felix wasn't worried as much as his plan was being set in motion. He had planned this even if Jisung didn't agree because Felix is so ready to leave this awful pack. He knows it's probably not the best to plan things behind Jisung's back without telling him, but it would worry Jisung even more if he knew all the details. His mind would spiral with all the things that could go wrong. So Felix didn't tell him what he did.

Although Felix knew what signs to look for to make sure his plan worked, he was still a little hesitant. Once he knew for sure things were going their way, the two omegas would make their way to the edge of Red Moon's territory.

You see, Felix found some funny looking herbs growing in his backyard garden. He looked through his mother's herb guide book and found this specific herb to be called Milly Weed. Thank you, Mom, for being a gardener! The book said the affects of this specific ingredient helped one to feel like they were on a high, maybe even have hallucinations if too much was inhaled. It doesn't say anything about ingesting it. That shouldn't be a problem, right?

After finding this information, Felix gathered all the Milly Weed he could find and tried his best to make a liquid from the leaves to put into the punch bowl for the party they were having. He needed to use as little liquid as possible to make sure he wasn't suspected, so he threw a bunch of the leaves into a small pot. That should be enough, hopefully.

He even saved some of the sprigs to sneak into the lavender bundles that would go into the lemonade to make it all look pretty. No one seemed to question Felix when he was in the kitchen and making the drinks in big kegs for the party a few days ahead of time. They just assumed he was told they wanted things done early, which wouldn't have been too far from the truth. Alpha Dorian wanted things done by Friday afternoon and all omegas out of the house so he could be ready to have his guests over.

Once Felix and Jisung were finished packing, just a backpack each with some clothes, snacks, waters, some books and all their money in Felix's bag, the two looked out their front window seeing the guests arrive and how everyone gathered around them. Felix knew they needed to wait until dusk to try and escape. Everyone should have drank just a little bit of the lemonade or punch by then and they would be feeling high and distracted, too much going on to realize what was happening, but their plan may have been put into action sooner as the guards that were supposed to be watching the territory were coming out of the woods with someone they have never seen before saying it was a trespasser. And what do they do with trespassers? They take them to the cells!

Felix decided that now would be the best time since the guards were distracted, they'd be in the cells for a few minutes. So while everyone was paying attention to the guards and with the arriving guests acting like they were on the red carpet, the two quietly walked out the back door and headed straight for the pack territory line that was north of their cabin.

As soon as they got there, Jisung came to an abrupt stop, breathing heavy.

"Lix, what if we get caught?" Jisung asked, holding onto his knees.

"Sung, we won't get caught for at least a little bit, but we need to keep moving. Otherwise, our plan won't work. Please, trust me." Felix pleaded.

A twig snapping really put into perspective just how crucial the situation is. It was now or never, and Jisung was so nervous. Felix stood there looking his mate, holding his breath and hoping that they could get away quickly, but he was ready to go back if Jisung really couldn't go through with the plan.
