“How are you Mimmi?” Raunak asked, engulfing Heer. She ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead. “I'm fine Ron. How are you doing?”
He smiled sadly then replied looking at her eyes. “Jaisa aap ke beti ne chodh ke aya tha”
(the way your daughter left me)“She didn't leave you Raunak. You were incapable of keeping her with you” Samaira said and Raunak gulped before looking in her direction.
“Sam..”
“No Heer bhabi. Please don't say anything on his behalf. He literally ruined Divya's life once. Not anymore. I've trusted him going against everyone but what he did? He showed his true colour that he is Sharvari's son and Samar's nephew”
“Mom” Raunak tried to say something but Samaira showed her palm and he looked down.
“I'm no one to you the day you declared you don't love Divya and just married her to give us pain.”
“I had my reason, you need to understand my point of view too mom”
“What point of view Raunak? That you wanted to punish us by torturing Divya? Is this your love your worship for? I can't believe we're not even able to get an idea of your acting.”
“I didn't act anything” Raunak said with determination, looking at Samaira's eyes. Who moved her face aside and Heer felt confused to console them. Samaira was concerned about her daughter and Raunak loved Samaira’s daughter. They both are fighting for one's happiness.
Rehana and Ishani shared looks, confused if they should say something or not.
“You still have the audacity to talk and look into our eyes” Samaira taunted and Raunak smiled dryly.
“When I told you all that I love your daughter, I was honest and when I said that I married your daughter to give you all pain, I was honest too”
“Ron” Heer held Raunak's hand, stopping him to say further.
“no Mimmi let me say. They're questioning my love? How can they? Few days ago Mayank bhai and bhabhi too doubted if I ever loved Divya. How can they think that I faked all of this” He felt his chest was heavy and heartbeats were uneven as he gulped the pain and wiped the corner of his eyes.
“You yourself made this clear, Raunak. Don't blame us” Samaira snapped and was about to leave the hall when Raunak stood in front of her and joined his palms.
Samaira looked at him confusingly as he looked down and took breaths before looking at her.
“I'm sorry. I was blind at the rage of revenge. I know I did wrong. I'm ashamed of my behaviour. I never wanted to take any sort of revenge. I am not like this. Trust me Mom.” Tears rolled down from Raunak's eyes. He looked down to wipe his tears.
