Logan's POV
I sat in Dr. Charles office, twiddling my thumbs. "Uhm, what was the question again?" I asked.
"How'd you sleep?" Dr Charles asked.
"Just as well as you'd expect after almost being murdered," I stated
"Uh-huh," Dr. Charles nodded. "Logan, why am I feeling anger from you?"
"Well, obviously, I was almost murdered and my fiancé didn't show up till the very end," I sighed. "Kelly lost track of time and didn't came to bed when he was supposed to. If he did, maybe l'd never had been attacked in my own home. I didn't feel safe." I looked at Dr. Charles. "I ended up going to Jay's to sleep."
"Why Detective Halstead's?" Dr. Charles asked.
"Uhm, he's my best friend. He understood what I was going through," I nodded. I looked at him. "Are you trying to find something between Jay and I? He and I are friend. That's it."
"I'm just making sure I have my notes straight, okay? That's the end of our session, but I leave you with one question," Dr. Charles replied. "You can give me an answer at our next session. Are you ready to make this commitment to Kelly?"
"Goodbye, Dr. Charles," I stated. I grabbed a cab home and Kelly's car wasn't there. I walked into the house and instantly smelled Kelly's cologne as if he had just left. "Great." I grabbed all my scrapbooks and sat on the couch. I went through them, going through the memories. "Am I ready to get married?"
"I don't think so," said a voice. I quickly got up and turned around. "Why are you surprised to see me?"
"You're supposed to be in custody, Soljer," I replied. "How'd you get out?"
"Well, I've escaped," Soljer smiled.
"I can see that," I stated. I backed up and turned off the TV. "You know how I get when we talk with a TV."
"I do," Soljer nodded. "Run away with me."
"There used to be a time in my life when I would say yes, but I can't," I replied. I quickly got into my room a bolted it. Soljer was pounding on it. "I can't go with you!"
"Oh, come on, baby," Soljer stated.
"I can't," I nodded. I accessed my gun safe and got out my Rugar. He kept pounding. "You break down that door and I promise you want like what you find on the other side!" I went to my bathroom and got in the bathtub. I called Jay on my watch. "Come on, Jay."
"Hey, babes," Jay picked up.
"I need help," I disregarded his greeting. "I'm in my tub with a gun."
"I'm eventually going to get in there, baby!" Soljer stated. "I got a bat!"
"You wish!" I exclaimed.
"Who was that?" Jay asked.
"Jay, don't let him kill me," I nodded.
"I'm on my way," Jay replied.
"Please hurry," I stated. My watch died. "Shit." A part of the door caved in. "Soljer, you really don't wanna do that."
"Why?" Soljer asked. I aimed for the hole and shot the gun. "Did you just shoot at me?"
"Next time, I won't miss," I replied. He was quiet. "I told you that you won't like what you find on the other side of the door."
"I'll take my chances," Soljer stated.
"CPD!" I heard Jay's voice. "Put your hands up."
"You should arrest her!" Soljer stated. "She's the one who shot at me."
