Just a normal girl living a normal life. She some how makes it to the largest city, known for their deep dish, in the United States. She didn't intend to stay very long
The month Logan was gone was dragging by slowly. I'm not sure why I was thinking about her. I am happy with Stella. Stella and I were walking into the firehouse, hand in hand, as a truck pulled up. Logan hopped out after giving Crockett a kiss. "Well, look who's back," I smiled. Logan gave us both a hug. "You're in a good mood."
"Well, furlough ended a couple days ago, but it works out with my shift so I got a couple extra days with Crockett," Logan smiled. She waved at Crockett and he drove off. "Did you guys see the pictures I posted? I also sent some to Violet."
"We also got the postcards," Stella replied.
"Great," Logan smiled as she hurried into the house.
"Was she acting a little weird?" I asked.
"Yeah," Stella replied. "Maybe she did have a good time with Crockett in Europe."
"Uh-huh," I nodded. We walked in. Logan was handing out gifts. She handed me a bag. "What's this?"
"I got everyone a little something while I was in Paris," Logan smiled. We all got out a sillouette picture. "I got those made in Disneyland Paris with side profiles of each of your faces."
"This is sweet of you," Joe nodded. "Uhm, why not keychains with our names on it?"
"Keychains are unoriginal and they would've weighed down my bag," Logan replied.
"Well, we appreciate it," I nodded as I handed mine to Stella. I noticed Logan was wearing a ring on her finger. "Did Crockett propose?"

"Oh, this? No," Logan held at her hand. "Crockett gave this to me on our three month anniversary. It's a promise ring." Violet stood up. "He asked Violet if it was okay."
"I approved of a promise ring. I know you're not ready to jump into an engagement just yet," Violet smiled. "I'm only looking out for you."
"I know. Jumping into another engagement is reckless, which I'm not," Logan smiled. "I hope you guys like your gifts."
"We do," I nodded. "Are you going to give us a rundown on your trip?"
"Maybe later," Logan stated.
"Okay," I stated as she ran off. "Are we sure she's not engaged?"
"She has no reason to lie," Stella replied. "We're her family."
"I'm 100% sure, because I went with Crockett to look at rings," Violet replied. "Well, he FaceTimed me, but I did help him design it."
"He designed it?" Stella asked. "The man must really be falling for her."
"What man wouldn't?" Sam asked. "You're siting in the lap of Exhibit One."
"Carver," Stella stated.
"Excuse me?" I asked. "I dated Logan with the intention of marrying her. She broke it off with me." I looked at him. "It didn't work out because she couldn't handle it."
"No," Violet nodded. "You're not painting her as the bad guy."
"What?" I asked.
"Logan went through hell because of the trauma with you. She had multiple therapy sessions because of it. She was attacked twice in her own home. What made you think she'll feel safe there? He almost succeeded in murdering her the first time because you couldn't go to bed at a decent time," Violet stated. "You weren't even home the second time she was attacked. She was lucky enough our friends at the CPD got to her before he broke down the door. You're a good guy, Severide, but you weren't the guy for her."
"Okay, yes. That did happen, but how was I supposed to know the guy was going to slip out of police custody?" I asked. "She is an independent woman who I trusted to take care of herself."
"Yeah, and you weren't there when I needed you most," Logan stated from behind me. I turned around. "After my attempted murder, I went to Jay's because I knew he would understand where I was coming from."
"You don't have to explain yourself," Violet went and stood next to her. "Let's go gas up the ambo."
"Got it," I nodded as they left. "The night of her attempted murder, I heard her calling for me. I was in the other room. If I had waited for even a minute, she would've died." Stella rubbed my back. "She went and stayed at Jay's place. The next day, she was attacked by the same guy and I was out with the guys. That's the day she left."
"Because she didn't feel safe if a place she called home," Stella stated. "We have to respect her decision."
"I know, and I've made my peace with it," I stated. "I've got Kidd and Logan seems happy."
"But that's 5 years with you she won't get back," Sam nodded.
"She wanted to be with me," I stated. "But I couldn't be what she wanted."
Crockett's POV
I walked in on my first day back from vacation. "Hey, Mags," I smiled.
"Oh, you are in a good mood today, Dr. Marcel," Maggie replied as she handed me an iPad and my coat. I handed her my backpack. "Treatment 5."
"We wanna hear all about it when you get done resetting the patient's shoulder," April smiled.
"You guys got it," I nodded. I went into the treatment room. "Alright, Lucas Rease. Looks like you got into a bit of a mess here, bud."
"Not really," Lucas replied. "Should've seen the other guy."
"I take it you're Dad," I stated, looking at the older gentleman in the room.
"Yeah," Mr. Rease replied. "He's only 17 and they're breaking each other's bones in physical education."
"Well, lucky for you, nothing is broken," I replied as I sanitized my hands and put on gloves. "Now, this is gonna hurt." I popped his shoulder back in place. "A nurse will be by to give you a sling, but rest for about two weeks, come in for a check up and then you should be able to operate normally." I took off my gloves and sanitized my hands. "Try not to lift anything heavy for the time being." I walked out of the room, and went to the nurses' station. "Alright."
"So, how was it with Paramedic Dearden?" Maggie asked.
"She accepted the ring," I smiled.
"What did you say to her?" April asked.
"I made her a promise, that as long as we're together I'll love her," I stated. "She was content with that. Uhm, she told me she loves me, and with everything that has happened in her life, this feels right for her." I looked at Maggie. "Okay, I'm open for you to protect your girl."
"Oh, yeah. You know I will. I love Logan. That's my go-to girl. If I could have any paramedic bring in any patient, it would be here. She's independent, head-strong and trustworthy," Maggie stated. "She might buckle under pressure and get overwhelmed but she's overcome those obstacles before. Now, if you hurt her, I will promise you that it will not be easy to get over her." I looked at Maggie. "She's here every single shift to bring in patients and she's here at least once on her off days to have a session with Dr. Charles when she feels she needs it. She's been through the wringer and back and she was devastated when she ended her relationship with Severide."
"How long was she with him?" I asked.
"Five years, 3 dating and 2 engaged," April replied. "She really did love him but he couldn't be there when she needed him the most."
"I don't intend to ever hurt her, but we are in the beginning of our relationship. This trip was for her to trust me. We are doing very good," I stated. "She did good. Trusted me through everything. Even at the top of the Eiffel Tower."
