The clock in the living struck to 3:45pm. She had finished her chores and she quickly leapt off the ground to fly towards the Hall of Justice. Her meeting with Batman was still vivid in her brain and out of all things she could've asked him. She stayed quiet like a shocked girl who just met a celebrity. Instead of a celebrity, try a famous hero who runs in a bat costume and is in the Justice League. She quickly shake that memory away and try acting professional. She was in a tight Nomex suit that wraps perfectly around her hourglass figure. It was gray with mix of dark red and blue, perfect for stealth crime fighting. She hovered above the Hall of Justice entrance in the sky before landing down, waiting for the rest to arrive.
"'Sup new girl." A voice suddenly appear behind her ear. She yelped out before levitating into the air to see Robin, Batman's sidekick. Robin let out a laugh next to Batman, who was standing there emotionless, as usual. "That is not funny!" She shot at him, before landing back down on the ground gently. Robin had to use his hands to hold his stomach to stop himself because he was laughing so hard. "Thank you for taking up on my offer." Batman said towards her, before turning back to face the Hall. Robin heard the last part before putting up a shocked expression.
"Wait." He shook his head "He gave you the offer?!" Robin asked shockingly. Amelia simply nodded her head before gently jabbing his arm. Robin gripped the side of his arm where he was jabbed, impressed with her strength. Just then, Aqualad arrived with Aquaman and Speedy arrived with Green Arrow. "Who's this new kid?" Speedy asked, gesturing up and down towards Amelia. "She doesn't even have a mentor." He added. He was starting to piss her off already. Speedy had just arrived and he had already gotten under Amelia's skin. Luckily, the teenager could stop her anger from getting the better of her.
"Hello. I am Aqualad. What is your name?" Aqualad asked, raising his right hand for a hand shake. "Aeropagus. Aero for short." Amelia replied, raising her right hand to shake his hand. They both hold their hands like that for a few seconds before breaking the hand shake. Amelia then went over to Robin to stand next to him because they were told to get in line of shoulder to shoulder when arriving. "Today's the day." Batman says to Robin, flashing a smile and placing a hand on his shoulder before withdrawing and wiping the smile. 'Okay.. Batman smiling just creeps me out.' Amelia thought.
"Aw man!" A voice suddenly sounded from behind. All of them turned around to see Kid Flash and afterwards, The Flash. "I knew we would be the last ones here." Kid Flash exclaimed. 'Kid Flash's here with The Flash too? Today really is the day.' Amelia thought. Kid Flash folded his arms in annoyance towards his mentor while The Flash looks at him with a blank expression of 'what? I didn't do anything.'
"Come on, let's get inside." Batman spoke gruffly, the tone is emotionless as usual.
As they walked along the red carpet that leads to the Hall of Justice, there were a lot of paparazzi. Cameras flashing into Amelia's eyes wasn't something she was used to. Sure she was a little popular in her school but never with a lot of cameras on her and taking pictures every millisecond. But she managed to maintain her inner demons of wanting to rip the cameras apart.
"Ready to see the inner sanctum?" Green Arrow asked, specifically for his protogé but was opened for everyone to answer. "Born that way." Speedy replied, casting a grin towards his mentor. "I'm glad we are all here." Aqualad added gratefully. He was thankful that all of his friends could attend the event and be able to moved up from sidekicks, even if he gets to make a new friend that didn't had a mentor.
"Have all five sidekicks ever been in the same place, at the same time-"
"Don't call us sidekicks." Speedy cut off abruptly, his tone was intimidating but not enough to strike fear. 'Someone's trying to be Batman.' Amelia thought and secretly rolled her eyes. "Not after today." He added
