a/n: chapter mostly focuses on Miss Martian, Superboy, Zatanna and Aero's night off at the Cave

"RECOGNIZED: ARTEMIS, B-0-8." The computer announced as the Zeta-Tube powered on and Artemis appeared in the light.
"Artemis. Just in time. Look who's agreed to join the Team." Green Arrow stated as Red Arrow turned to face her.
"Finally!" Wally exclaimed.
"Sure. Team's needed a real archer." Artemis said unconvincingly.
"I've never liked this guy." Amelia whispered to Zatanna. "He already made fun of me not having a mentor during the day at the Hall of Justice."
"I can see why." Zatanna whispered. "He's not the most ideal person who wouldn't do anything to keep his ego."
"Okay, people, listen up." Green Arrow announced as the holographic screen lit up with a keyboard. "The dynamic duo's on a case in Gotham, but Batman gave me a heads up."
The screen showed Sportsmaster's profile and the security camera in his civilian form. "Sportsmaster was spotted coming from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport."
"In full costume?" Zatanna questioned. "Nervy."
"In street clothes." G.A. corrected before zooming closer to Sportsmaster's face. "Facial recognition software picked up the ID. Find out what he's up to."
"All of us?" Conner asked, gesturing to everyone in the room. "Seems like overkill for a shadow job."
"Perhaps a small squad." Red Tornado replied in his monotone voice. "Miss Martian's camouflage abilities seem ideal."
"Thought the side kicks-sorry, ex-sidekicks-could suit up on this." G.A. suggested. "Aqualad, Kid Flash, Aero, Red Arrow."
"Nope. I wasn't a sidekick so only Aqualad, Kid Flash and Red Arrow will be going." Amelia rejected.
"Sounds okay too, I guess." Green Arrow replied.
"Good. Stakeouts make me crazy." Conner stated.
"We could use the night off." M'gann added.
"I want in." Artemis suddenly offered. "With M'gann, Robin and Aero out, no one's logged more hours piloting the Bio-ship."
"Artemis, are you sure?" G.A. questioned in concern.
"Absolutely." She replied.

The ex-sidekicks have left the Cave and went to the stakeout site. The rest wandered around the Cave in boredom.
"No offense, guys, but even my boredom is bored." Zatanna stated as they walked back towards the mission room to see Red Tornado doing something on the holographic screen.
"Same as me, sister." Amelia added.
"Maybe a night off wasn't the best idea." M'gann thought out loud.
