The next morning, Diluc returned tired and a sleep in his bedroom; though you had one favour to ask him. Fend off near fatui diplomats in mondstadt.
Diluc hated the knights especialy after that one encounter with a knight that insulted him and his father-- but it was also his duty to protect mondstadt.
you weren't on duty today, you wore a simple short white traditional mondstadt frock and a corset that wrapped around your waist and a navy blue skirt.
it was a dress you bought from marjorie a few days ago, and it was marvelous. You never got to wear dresses like this.
you twist open the man's bedroom door to reveal his messy room, his black coat and his clothes scattered around the room, the curtains were closed and he was hugging a pillow to cover his face.
You rolled your eyes, stomping to the bed side and leaned down, pushing the sheets of the pillows to reveal his face. "Diluc." You said gently.
"Wake up." You tapped his shoulder. As always, he always slept like a rock and it annoyed you. You put your lips near his ears, a seductive smile creeped up to your lips.
You blew into his ears, he flinched and jumped up, crawling away from you in horror. There was just something nerve cracking about blowing in someone's ear.
"What the hell?" He clenched his ear, covering his shirtless body like a girl. "wake up, it's two in the afternoon!" You crossed your arms and looked him in the eyes. But he was looking at a pair that wasn't your eyes.
The frock revealed your cleavage, making it slightly bigger due to the corset. "So? Let me sleep?" He growled, his eyes returning to you. "Probably banged a girl in the city, i get it." You teased, you didn't like the idea of that, but how will you be cool if you dont act like it?
"What do you want?" He scratched the back of his head and yawned, waiting for your answer. You cleared your throat, trying to think of a way to say it without triggering him.
"Do you remember the situation the brought me back here in mondstadt?" He hummed, lying back down again. "The fatui are recruiting non stop in the outskirt of mondstadt, we might need a little more help from a pyro weilder." you looked away, a bit scared of what he will react.
"And what do i get in exchange?" He raised an eyebrow as you smirked, "i get to stay in mondstadt." You said. "Then i'd rather stay home." He said sarcastically, turning to the other side of the bed.
"Count your days, i'm going to scout alone tomorrow." You hummed, he was just silent, silently drifting back to sleep.
that day, all he could think about was the two things he stared at once. He'd rather not say it, but he was happy he met that first thing in the afternoon.
the next morning, you waited alongside the knights to continue scouting and clearing out fatui camps around mondstadt, you didn't know diluc would actually take it to heart that he was not coming.
not until you saw him approach from the tavern, wearing just his white chaleco and a black long sleeve. gosh damn.
the wind was blowing the both of your hair, chills went down to your spine. Thank barbatos. You praised.
"You're coming?" You crossed your arms just to clarify and confirm his acceptance. "Yes, [y/n] i'm coming." He said with a sky tone.
His black and red claymore cling to his back, a brown haired girl catched your eyes; he was staring at your friend. "Can't resist leaving me alone, huh?" You can't bring yourself to flirt infront of the knights.
"I can't afford to be blamed if you die." He pointed at you, his face was annoyed. The exit of the knights started, it was split into five groups assigned to five different places.
The funny thing was-- it was dragonspine that you got assigned to with diluc.. well, not really. he forcefully offered the knights to not let you go alone since you were Cryo yourself and there was no way you were going to survive in the cold by yourself.
It annoyed you, really.
You both made out yesterday and he completely dissapeared on you the same night and came back home almost morning leading him to sleep until the afternoon. You parted ways with the knights, walking to the entrance of dragonspine where adventurers were scattered.
"Seriously, where are we even going to set a camp up here?" He looked pissed with his arms crossed tight. He now wore his coat once again, and you a large brown cape that covered your shoulders to your knees, You preferrably wore long boots and socks for this trip.
"If you're that pissed, i don't even know why you offered to come here with me." You rolled your eyes at his grumpy attitude. "But i suppose we can kill a few fatui harbingers then steal their camp?" He scoffed.
You let him carry food and materials sufficient for the both of you for a day. "I suppose we could worry about setting up a camp, I suggest we stay at Durin's heart." Indeed, it was one of your researches you looked forward to but never got the chance to do. He raised an eyebrow; you assumed he didn't know where it was.
"It's just near the literal dragon's spine. It might be roaming around with the fatui but we could easily clear them out." He looked down at you when you said easily. "After all, the mission is to clear out fatui camps in mondstadt." You reminded him.
After a few minutes, you arrive to the location, it was swarming with cryo and electro diplomats. Diluc crossed his arms when your lips parted, seeing the amount of fat cryo fatui roaming around with their sheilds. "Now, could you survive killing them with the same element?" He sighed.
He started to walk forward, ready to charge at all of them. "You're lucky i came with you." He pulled out his claymore. "Go for the Electro. I can't ensure your safety." you nodded. it's not like you haven't fought anything more stronger than fatui harbingers.
You set up a burst to melt all of their sheilds, ready to stab them with ice chains and shards. sometimes you remember, these were humans too. Crimson could be seen from the ice dagger you sent, running around to protect yourself from any attacks.
With the chain dagger artifacts your bloodline left you, you could be sure to protect yourself just from a far distance of danger. You merged your vision with it so no one could ever use it for their own expenses. You looked a far, diluc was fighting off a cryo fatui whislt you finished clearing out three of the electro skirmisher.
Till you heard bolts of electricity coming from behind you, a hammer lighting purple charging towards you with electric bolts over charging it. the next thing you heart was an explotion that jolted you away from the Skirmisher, a firey eagle could be seen flying to harrass the Fatui.
