Caelus R. Klein

I was going to be a father of a child that wasn't even my blood.

I should be devestated about it, yet it reminded me so much of my brother, Kaeya. I was happy i was going to have a family with the woman i grew up with.

I brought her papers to sign for the child's birth certificate and as official parents of the child; agreeing for the kid to raise the name of his mother.

I was now waiting outside a room on the second floor of the knights of favonious, hearing the door knob unlocked revealing my brother holding the hands of the child holding a bear and his suit case.

"Kaeya." I walked forward, looking at the kid looking up to me. "Brother." It's been quiete a while to hear him say that; it shattered me thinking about it.

Every glance i leave on the eyepatch on his face, i remember how shitty i was to my younger brother. "Caelus, this is you father." The boys lips parted.

"As promised by your mother, They will shelter you in a place along with a father and great food." the boy hugged his bear tight, while Kaeya handed me the suitcase.

"These are spare clothes provided by the knights." I nodded, smilling at the navy haired man once again, i kneeled down to the level of the child.

"Call me Dad." I never liked the formal 'Father.' Father felt more strict-- nothing more than a man who will train you. But a dad felt like another bestfriend that will guide you emotionally and physically.

I cracked a smile softly at the boy. The boy hummed and nodded with a smile. "You'll warm up to Master Diluc's grumpy baby face, don't you worry." Kaeya shuffled the hair of the child and started to walk away.

"I'll see you, Uncle!" The boy turned back to wave and smile, looking at me once again with embarassment and shyness. "Come one, Caelus." I wrapped an arm around the boys abdoment and pulled him to my chest, for a quick hug.

I never knew how to express love for my son, maybe because my father never hugged me what so ever. But it's better to keep a close relationship with my child as soon enough.

"Your mom is waiting in the Manor to have a proper Lunch with us." the two of us walked out the Headquarters and through the city, the boy was still blushing and looking down the floor, hugging his bear.

"I didn't expect her to keep her promise." He stuttered. "A-A manor, A father. Warm food, A family that makes me feel welcome and a name that means alot." It warmed my heart to see a child thank everything.

"Caelus."

"I like that name."

"We'll go shopping this week end after Mom heals, Okay?" I said gently. making sure there was no harshness in any word I said. "Is she okay?" He finally locked eyes with me, his eyes had a small spark for now. "Yes, she's recovering nicely." I smile.

I had been hiatus from being the Dark Knight Hero or being the Barista in dawn winery eversince {y/n} was in a coma, I was asked by the knights to take care of her myself.

I showed the kid the trail from the city to the dawn winery near Liyue, to ensure his knowledge and safety of getting home. Caelus saw Crystalflies, and the first thing he said was 'woah.' It reminded me of the first game of hide and seek I played with her.

He resembeled light, heaven. 

"I like your vineyard, D-Dad." He stuttered, smiling at me as if he warmed up pretty quickly. "You could play here all the time, that's what me and your mom used to do when we were your age." 

The maidens greeted us with a smile, thanking them for being welcoming enough for caelus, I dropped his suitcase beside the door where I hung my coat and his, My head turned up when I heard the child shout 'Ms. {y/n]' in joy.

I look over to the table to see warm fresh food served together with grape juice and water, she wore a comfortable frock dress that lenghted to her kneecaps. She wasn't so pale or sick anymore. she wore silk gloves to avoid infections in her needle wounds.

Her hair was dropped to her shoulders, with the child in her arms and a smile to her lips. My heart melted seeing her hug a child.

The desire I have for her never disappeared, no matter  how much beef we will have for each other for the next years, i'd still be happy to spend the rest of my life with her.

"Welcome home, Diluc and Caelus." I sat towards her, fixing my composture to be slightly more attractive than her. "How was your first day leaving the Headquarters?"  she asked nicely as if she wasn't throwing rocks at me at caelus' age.

"I loved it! i saw creatures I really liked and the Yard is beautiful here along with this house. Though, I would like to go and make friends in the city too." The boy sat beside me. "You can come with me and diluc to the city once we go to work. Just promise not to leave the walls, Okay?"

The boy nodded pleasingly with a smile.
