The sun shined through the through the curtains, birds flying past the tree's outside the dawn winery, attempting to eat the grapes in the vineyard.
you stretched your body, a sharp pain pierced through your forearm.
You winced in pain after seeing the bright light hit your eyes; it hasn't really been that long since you saw it, but you forget feelings fast enough.
a sudden panick came over you when you realized you were in Diluc's room, with him sleeping on his love chair near his desk.
the last thing you heard before you blacked out was ice overcoming you and the child using signora's powers.
Diluc's eyes fluttered open, the ringing noises of the holter monitor beeping across the room, your clothed fingers touched his moist hands, tickling his skin.
Your throat was sore, it almost feel like you couldn't talk, it scared you.
The only thing that warmed you was the cloves and the sheets that covered your body, Diluc's smilling with his eyes which clearly hinted he's been stressed.
"I missed you." He stood up gently from his lovechair, walking immediately next to your bed. His hands crawled under your back, burrying his face on your neck. "It's only been a week or two." You whispered to him, wrapping your arms back.
"It's almost been a two months." You were speechless. The span of two monthsbwas long enough to grow grapes again in the vineyard. "But i'm here?" He pulled away, his face just not far from yours.
"But you were barely living. Your brain was near to being frozen." His eyebrows knitted together in concern, his warm fingers brushed on your cheek. "But i was still here." You said, confused.
"You don't seem to understand, [y/n]?" He sat himself beside you, making sure he isnt pulling on the wires. You shook your head. "I miss you laughing around and teasing and tormenting me. The dawn winery doesn't feel the same without your spirit."
"Kaeya- even he agreed it felt off not to see a platinum blonde haired girl tormenting her friends and gossiping with the maids." He tried teasing; but you only thought of one name. Kaeya. "Kaeya?"
"Kaeya is in charge of taking care if the child you were holding. The child is under the care of the knights of favonius." You rose up from the bed, stretching once again.
You smiled at diluc, with warmth. The breeze bringing in a leaf inside the room, leaving him speechless. "Doesn't that hurt?" He pointed on the wounds that was barely healing.
"No." Your smirk grew wider, you pushed yourself further to his back, yawning and resting your head on his back. All he did was sigh with a grin.
"Who's that child? He's been unnamed until now, y'know." He turned around, letting you rest on his shoulder instead so he could hold your hand. "My son." Diluc went silent.
"Adopted?" you stayed quiet, trying to think about the actual answer. "By blood." Diluc raised an eyebrow, his hear dropped to the ground. "What? That's impossible. You-"
"They injected my blood into him while he was losing his. Wouldn't that technically make him my blood?" You joked, Diluc stared at your wounds intensely.
"So what's his name?" You hummed, looking down on his fingers that was caressing you. "I don't know. I want you to choose. But i'll pass him my last name." Diluc's lips parted.
you lifted your head up, making his eyes lock with yours.
His mind was filled with choices-- names he couldn't create. Should he name it after his father? Barbatos? him? But only one name was outstanding.
"Caelus, Caelus Klein."
He believed, under the boys dark uncut hair, the abyss of black in his eyes. There would be light, A light to lead everyone, anyone who had in trouble with the abyss of the dark.
"We might be too young to start a family, don't you think?" You giggled. "We might be, but were financially stable to raise caelus. I'm sure you would be a good mom." He shuffled your hair.
"Plus, he can have your room. You don't use it anyways, do you?" Diluc smirked at you; his eyes told you you both are going to start to sleep on the same bed like a married coupe.
the thing is the two of you arent- would you want to be?
