the both of you returned to camp when the skies were dark and blue, the red fire gave the both of you warmth and each other.
Something that made you shiver was only his cold gaze that he gave every once in a while. The two of you just killed a few boars in this mountain to eat delicious meat for the knight.
"If you keep glaring at me like that i might piss myself." You looked at diluc who was staring at you, you were putting pepper and butter to season the meat.
"Are you that dumb and stupid to play dumb enough to ignore what happened earlier?" Now that you thought ofnit, your cool faded. Your cheeks flushed pink, masked by the red of the bonfire.
"Ignoring? Please. If you wanted to continue it just say so." You said, talking before thinking. Your cheeks flushed redder, you tried to play it cool.
"Are you serious about that?" He scoffed. "No," you lied, blinking away from the eye contact and returned your attention to the meat.
He got up from the wooden chair, stomping his way infront of you, your heart skipped a beat. It annoyed you on how cocky he was today.
He knealed down, grabbing your chin. Of course you wouldn't give him what he wants that easily, right? "If you dont move this precious boar meat will seriously overcook." You said, struggling to let words out your mouth as his face was way too close with yours.
"Then don't tempt me, [y/n]. I wont hold back." Because he knew how you would give in, knowing the consequences on agreeing to be more than friends but less than lovers that day the two of your reunited.
If he wasn't such a cocky pain in the ass, for sure you would give in without him even asking. He rolled his eyes and sat back with a frown as you set out disposable plates on the small table of the camp.
the two of you ate silently and awkwardly, staring into the fire like little kids who just finished swimming for straight two hours, hungry for food and fire.
it made you think of fontaine, you were exhausted from swimming back and forth right there since the transportation was as slow.
the two of you finished eating, preparing the two portable sleeping beans. You could tell it was going to be cold if you blew out the fire.
you were about to go to bed until you noticed the man who was just staring at you with pure boredom in his eyes. "Are we seriously leaving it just like that?" You knitted your eyebrows together.
"Stop acting like you're some fourteen year old trying to make his girlfriend comeback." You glared, his lips parted.
It brought him back many memories and nostalgic feelings of waiting for you at the end of the day in your famillie's manor, back and forth around the whole mondstadt hoping he'd find you on one corner.
your eyes widened when you realized what you had said, it stunned him really. You never meant to bring it up. "Sorry." You sat up properly, fixing yourself infront of him, your knees touched together while sitting down.
"I'm serious."
Your lips parted, you weren't aware how much he's serious about you. Were you just a stress reliever? You never engaged in so much things as romance as a child. Only that one day with Diluc you did.
you loved him as a person, surely you missed him. But it never seemed like a good time to be lovey dovey when the fatui were after you.

All of the vision weilders went through so much pain, half of them losing their childhood.
You wanted to relieve the both of you, the white hair growing in your heads at such a young age, the aching of your bodies that you had to get through every day.
You always hoped for a day where there was only nothing but peace, no fighting, no visions. No wars.
Just in Diluc's presence you felt that. Years of travelling you never got to sleep properly in camps, you were used to being injured and relying on people to heal you.
always not knowing who to trust or else it would end up in a gut wrenching fight, You've learned alot from your journey.
Everything except relaxing without thinking about enemies. But you could never do that in teyvat after the catalysm and the Archon war.
"Quit staring at me like that, i might piss myself." You heard his voice in a mocking tone. You chuckled, you were spacing out in the void of his lightless eyes.
He lost his whole family, he lost you and kaeya. The three of you did. You felt guilty not giving kaeya the same attention.
You moved yourself beside him, kneeling, putting your hands on his shoulders and looked down on him. You put your face closer to his, his lips curved into a smile, his eyes slightly lit up.
To the boy i consider family, not as a brother or father, as someone close enough that it feels like you lived with him long enough to marry him.
His fingers pushed strands of your hair back, pushing himself into your lips with a deep passionate kiss. He sure was touched starved, with the hugs of his fathers maids and servants comforting him.
The night ended beautifully. The fog was away, the theory stars of teyvat came through both your minds, the warmth of the bonfire and your bodies touching together under the night sky in a snowy mountain.
Diluc was never lewd about relationships. He never thought of doing sexual activities other than kissing, he liked touching and kissing. He would never think of you sexually that much because it would ruin the relationship-- it would be replacednwith lust instead of love.
so he insists that when the right time comes, he will too.
