"This is why i don't reccomend you to travel on your own." He fought off the last skirmisher, walking towards you. "I was just caught offguard is all." You tried to explain out of embarassment.

"Clearly not. Always look behind your back." He sighed, pushing his claymore to the snowy ground. "Right." Once in your life, you were actually saved by someone when you went through battles like this.

The both of you settled down on a tent, leaving traps by the passage ways where the fatui could ambush you. For the rest of the day, you were going to clear out all of dragonspine with him.

The two of you sat in silence, a fire was lit infront of the tent, it was warm and the ice surrounding you was melting.

"Back in liyue, i've been thinking about exploring Dragonspine on my own once i've found out its origin." You brought up, the red fire tinting your face. "I didn't think it would be that deadly." You shivered at the thought of the weather beeing colder than your vision when it starts reacting.

But you actually felt safe now, safe and warm with some beside you ensuring your safety even when they said they weren't going to. "I'm well aware of your strength, but you could die anytine in teyvat knowing the abyss is everywhere." You nodded, making sure that you were aware of that.

"But you told me you couldn't ensure my safety due to the amount of enemies you were fighting!" You frowned, crossing your arms. "So you know i can't save you everytime. Everyone should know that." You did know that. You werw just surprised from him 'reverse psychology.'

"I mean, i'm used to not being saved. Everything gets healed once in a while." You explained, making him scoff. "It heals fast but the pain gets worse and worse, doesn't it? You can't just rely on healers." You chuckled and crossed your legs together.

The rest of the day, the both of you continued to roam around Dragonspine to clear out Fatui camps, which was mostly at the outskirts of the mountain near mondstadt.

Dragonspine was a vary high mountain that you could see dawn winery from the edges of the mountain.

even if the sun was out, the fog cancelled out the heat to warm the both of you up. "I heard there was a pillar from celestia on the very top of this mountain." You explained while the both of you walked on paths to the nearest statue of the seven to offer your gratitues.

"It's the coldest part of Dragonspine. Surely you're not thinking of going there, are you?" You both stepped on the slippery bridge, maintaining your balances. "No. But i have heard an alchemist from here. I'm interested in journeying together with him." his eyes narrowed when you mentioned a him.

"Albedo?" He scoffed, "Absolutely not. Do you even know how dangerous alchemists can be?" Your lips parted, "You seriously still remember the story of khaneri'ah?" Yes, it indeed reminded him of kaeya.

"I don't agree to you travelling alone here, considering your past with the fatui." You sighed. The both of you arrived infront the statue, the view was foggy. But the red tree can be seen from above. Its crimson color reminded you of diluc.

The both of you were silenced when the two of you faced the statue, having your own thoughts sent to the god of Freedom which in response, cold wind blew from front, making your hair fall back. The loose edges of your skirt went to the side revealing slight of your upper thighs.

your eyes locked with the red head, he had an expressionless face that you started to get sick of. You wanted him to smirk like he used to, making angry expressions or even smile while looking at you.

He looked down at you, his arms crossed. His hot breath collided with the cold, causing it to react. With your platinum blonde hair, you were sure it didnt fit with the light color blue.

He started walking forward, just close enough for both of your bodies to touch. The cold made your cheeks flush, but it tinted a brighter red when he came closer.

He leaned forward to your height, your noses were touching, his head was slightly tilted to the side to avoid your nose. "We can't just kiss infront of our archon's statue." You managed to stutter out. You'll do the same anyways if you ever got married to someone. Or him.

He didn't care. The people of mondstadt had their freedom, surely Venti wouldn't mind, right? Put that aside, he knew his archon's real identity, but he protected his promise.

The warmth of his mouth pressed with yours, his soft tongue entering your mouth, making you gasp in surprise. The wind hit harder, making the clip in your hair lose and make your long bangs fall and catched by diluc's fingers brushing them back to your ear.

You could feel his smirk when you kissed back, deepening the kiss. It was definetly something your mouth wanted. The warmth or just his tongue reaching your throat?

Seems like your archon had seen everything, the wind blew harder, the ice on the ground started to become slippery enough to blow you both away.

He finally pulled away, throwing his hands up away from you and turned away, the wind calmed down, your breath was hitching at the sight. "Dang it, anemo archon." He muttered.
