The next morning, you woke up with the red head with his hair not tied up into a pony tail, it messed around your stomach as he used it as your pillow.

the sun hasn't rise, the skies were still light blue indicating it was still around six in the morning, the perfect time to get warm and cozy infront of the fire before cleaning up the camp and clearing out the mountain.

you sat up gently, letting Diluc's head fall from your stomach to your lap, you didn't bother to wake him up considering that this is probably one of the longest sleeps he had in years due to his heroic job at night.

you woke the man up so he could fix his position into a comfortable one, shifting his upper body to his own pillow, giving two blankets over him as you lied him down.

you hear him whining, stretching his arms while slowly blinking to open his eyes. In which you shut with your two fingers.

you felt the man's hot breath into your hands, your eyes roamed to his face where there was drool dripping down from his mouth.

A hand gripped your wrist, taking it off his eyes then pulling you right to him. You leaned forward to his neck, embracing him into a hug.

"Where are you going?" He said weakly from his half asleep state. "It's almost morning so i'll be guarding out here, i'll walke you up later." Your voice was muffled, inhaling his scent by his neck that was the only thing warm about him.

He hummed, putting himself back to sleep, his grip on you softened, indicating that he was asleep.

you grabbed your pech scarf that was wrapped around your bag, now wrapping around your neck to keep yu warmer as you start the fire without diluc's help.

the fire pit was already nearly burried in snow in which you shook off, lighting it up with a lighter you keep in bag.. just incase.

You often tried cigarettes or setting up fire to eliminate enemies of your own element, sometimes it was the only thing that kept you warm on homeless days.

the ice melted when you set down a piece of wood that was burning, you let out a sigh, letting your breath look like smoke when you puffed.

Last night was tiring, even though nothing more than a make out happened. The both of you kept each other warm and clinged to each other.

a few hours later, the skies started to turn a faint light yellow, the sun was rising, it was getting slightly more warm and less cold.

the feeling of someone's arms wrapping around your waist from the tent, making your back a pillow.

the rest of the day was calm, no teasing due to the morning feeling, it was quiet, no clingyness after the whole knights have gathered in windrise to report.

You were now walking back with diluc to the dawn winery, "Have you found a place to stay yet?" You face tinted pink at the realization.

You haven't really been searching for an apartment to stay, let alone build your own home. It would be a burden to stay in the Manor your whole stay right there.

you don't have the time to sell your home back in liyue or retrieve all of your stuff from there. "I haven't, actually. But i promise i'll find one soon. I might extend my stay for a few weeks or until i find somewhere else to stay-- i don't wan't to be a burden to your house maids."

"They won't be in the dawn winery for a while, i've given them a break." Your lips parted, who were you going to gossip with? "They wont be home till i say so." You nodded, passing by a line of tree's that directed to the dawn winery.

"So how much will the fee be?" You crossed your arms, waiting for another either expensive or a normal price for your stay. "Nothing." He hummed.

Your eyebrows knitted together, "Just because we're more than friends doesn't mean you have to make it free!" You stomped behind him.

"Well i inisist. The fee was only for the House keeper's pay check that i could pay for without trouble, plus the room you're staying in. It's not like you sleep there alot anyways."

your cheeks flushed red at the mention of that night where the both of you shared the same bed. "And, were both possible targets of the fatui, were the closest to the edges of mondstadt so it's better to send the workers back home in the city."

you calmed down and sighed, you understood his concern for his workers, it made your heart warm at the thought.

the both of you walked pass the statues of the seven near dawn winery before gliding down the edge of the cliff to pass by the vineyard.

the maids had already gotten home, the lights were off, no brightly lit candles, the curtains were closed as well as the lights to avoid fire.

You and diluc shared matches and lighters to light up the pitch black house, making sure you dont burn anything.

after that, you finally sighed and settled down your things in a couch, Diluc locked the main entrance, removing his black coat.

The both of you were clearly tired, your body was aching for the softness of the mattress, you could just fall asleep in the couch.

but not yet, your day doesn't feel complete, all you did was walk around mondstatdt and kill off some intruders.

Your attention was caught with your thoughts of what you should do for the night, that you didn't even realize Diluc calling out for your name. You opened your eyes, meeting with his. What? You raised an eyebrow.

"Let's go shower."

"I'm not that stinky." You tried to hide the embarassment from your face. "Plus, you can't say that casually." You looked away, gripping your bag in hand.

"We do need to save water."
