It's been two weeks since Tango moved into his new house - the ranch.
He slowly started getting used to waking up at 6 am it wasn't that different from his old routine but here he didn't start work at 8 but literally right when he opened his eyes.

The town was 30 minutes away by car so visiting his friends or going shopping wasn't something he needed to worry about.

Tango finally got to the part where he tried his best to make the ranch feel alive. He bought some flowers that were on sale to put them around the ranch. He wasn't sure what flowers they were but they looked nice , they would look even better if Tango would actually plant them.

That was the plan for today, right after he fed the animals.

--
Tango was finally planting the flower at the front of the ranch when he heard a familiar voice calling his name.
"Tango! Hello!"
He turned to see Scar followed by Bdubs and Etho..

"Hi guys, wasn't expecting you so early" Tango smiled at them happily.

"Someone was very excited to come." Etho glanced at Scar.

Scar knelt down looking at the flowers.
"Marigolds, interesting choice."
Scar picks one of the flowers and starts turning it in his hand.
"Did you know that they symbolise the connection between life and death?" He added quietly.

As Scar said, Tango for a split second saw again the gloving figure which was like his shadow ever since Tango moved here.
It seems like no-one saw it besides him. Maybe he's just imagining things.

"Do you want to help me plant them?"
Tango asked the boys as Etho wandered off to look at the chickens.

" Yes!"They said at the same time.
-
The Marigolds were planted by there was still a lot of room to plant more flowers.

" I think you need more colours here." Bdubs said looking around.

"We should go to the gardening shop and choose something for you." Scar added.

-

And 30 minutes later the four of them were in the shop choosing different types of flowers

In the end they bought some coneflowers, cosmos and pansies.

The front lawn and back were blooming with life and colours.

"It's beautiful!" Bdubs announced after the finished watering the freshly planted flowers

" Thanks to you boys. "

"If you would ever have a colour problem, you know who to call." Etho joked but Tango actually thought that wasn't a bad idea.

"What do you guys say about a tea and cooking after full day of good work?"

The kids eyes shined.
"COOKIES!!!"

--

Etho and the twins decided to stay for the night. Tango didn't mind a company and the boys wanted to spend more time around the nature.

It was also Etho's week of taking care of them and he was okay with staying at Tango's.

Before Tango went to his room he looked at the entrance to the attic. He needed to get there and cleaned it too.
Soon.

---

The next day after breakfast Etho and Bdubs went on a small stroll around. Scar stayed with Tango to 'help' him but mostly just kept him company.

"Scar what are you doing?"
Tango finished feeding Doccy the goat as he noticed Scar walking through some bushes that have grown around the fences and Tango decided to not chop them down.

"Look!" Scar walked out, he had a few scratches for the stick and a few leaves that tangled into him hair.
"Isn't she a beaut?"

Scar held a small tabby kitten in his hands. The kitty was dirty and looked like it hadn't eaten for some time.
"Can I keep her Tango? She's lonely just like me."

" I .. eh I think? You need to ask Etho ."

Scar smiled.
"Did you hear Jellie? You can live with me!"

"You named her already.. why doesn't that even surprise me anymore.."
Tango said under his breath and giggled
"Before anything , we need to clean her up."

"Aye aye captain!" The scar laughed and ran towards the entrance. Glancing every second at the kitten in his hands, making sure it's comfortable and safe in his arms.

When Etho and Bdubs came back Scar introduce Jellies to them.
Etho let Scar keep her but he need to take the responsibility of taking care of the cat. Buying her food and toys.

Scar was so happy that he could keep her. She had Scar and Scar had her.

---

A few days later a guest visit Tango.
It was an elderly lady maybe in her late sixties -but you don't ask women about their age.

He remembered once she asked Cleo about her age and she punched him.

" Oh.. Hello? I didn't see you there before" The woman said, she wore an old fashioned dark blue dress, she also had a pastel pink hair which Tango finds very impressive to say at least.

"Um hello, I've recently moved here. I'm Tango."

"I'm Elisabeth Shadow, I'm leaving a few houses away. I was actually expecting to see an older man he sometimes visit this ranch."

"That was my father, he gave me this ranch."
She nodded.

"What brings you Miss Shadow here?"

" Just wanted to see how the old ranch is doing, you know."
Ms.Shadow stared at one of the windows and smiled, Tango could see what she was looking at.

"You such nice kid.
Take care of the ranch for me then.
Say hi to him too."

Tango didn't quite understand what she was talking about .
" I will."

She smiled again and left.

--

The house was quiet. Tango lay on his sofa watching some film half asleep
Until I hear some weird noises coming from upstairs - the attic.
Yeah... Tango go adjusted to them(the noises )and he forgot to actually look there.

He found a key, the only one that didn't fit elsewhere so Tango was 98% sure it was the attic key but he never got to the part of him going there.
It's been only three weeks living here... maybe it was finally the time.

"Okay I'll see what's going on up there. Don't worry."

--

It was the time. Tango stood on a ladder, holding the key ready to open the attic door( is it still a door if it's on the ceiling?)at any moment.

He open it, a wall of dust fall on his face. Tango started coughing.. it was a lot dustier than he anticipated .

Tango went back to take a wet cloth, he wrapped it around his mouth and nose, to prevent the dust from making him cough.
He also took a broom incase he needed to fight any pigeons.

"Attempt number 2." He said under his breath.

The attic was dark, the only light was coming from the single window. Tango tried to look for a light switch, he found one but it didn't work.
Why he didn't took his phone with him it had a flashlight.

He sighed and turned to go down again.
That's when he noticed something that terrified him.

A man stood right there. The moonlight that was coming from the window was lighting him up.
A gold feathers were shining in it.

Was it a ghost? But he looked so real

Tango stared at him.
Panicking inside, he didn't sigh up for this.

He could remember how me managed to throw the broom at the man and as it touched him ,he disappeared. Tango closed the attic door, keying it.
Swearing to never go there at night and without proper source of light ever again.

He quickly brought the ladder downstairs and trying to calm himself down at the same time.

'What just happened?!'
