Ellie's POV

I knew it was time to talk to Taylor about what I really wanted to do in life but I just didn't know how to tell her. I decided to just go and tell her anyway, she can't get too mad because at least I'm reasonable with what I want. "Taylor, I need to talk to you, it's really serious." I told her.

She nodded and sat up a little, patting the empty space next to her on the sofa. Travis was training so it was just us two in the house. Taylor wanted to go out for lunch so we had and now I was getting some online school done.

"Did you get all of your work done?" She asked and I nodded a little.

"Tay, I want to go to college. I think maybe it's best if I stay here while you do the international tour. I just want to get my education then dance." I told her. A weight lifted off my chest when Taylor completely understood.

"I was planning on having that chat with you actually. I think you are very smart and it is the best choice for you." She told me. I smiled and hugged her. As much as I didn't want to move away, I knew that they would still be there for me as my parents. Now that they were fully mine and had signed to keep me I could do it alone and move away to college.

She smiled and we discussed locations and applications for different places. She brought me to the kitchen table later in the day and had her laptop out with a bunch of colleges on there. In each tab was a university I had mentioned. She sat through and discussed course options with me and helped me submit my applications too. Over a few weeks we managed to get everything done and I had thankfully applied to everything.

Eventually I was able to run downstairs, brimming with excitement and good news to tell Taylor and Travis. "Mom, dad! Guess what! I got into the one I really wanted to get into! That means I get to go to college!" I told them. Taylor immediately jumped up and hugged me really tight.

Travis also joined us before the conversation developed, clearly because Taylor was overly excited about the situation. "Oh my his, we can look at apartments and decorate and buy lots of cute furniture and you'll have your own little place!" She squealed. She started scrolling through her phone and looking at cute decorative pillows that she could get. "I'm so proud of you sweetie!" She told me.

My smile grew even wider and I hugged her once more. "Thank you so much for helping me." I told her.

Her mom emotions must have come back because I noticed a few tears in her eyes. She does this at the most ridiculous things sometimes. "You're not going to cry are you?" I asked laughing and she laughed a little, wiping away some tears.

We got to go out that night for dinner.

It's weird having people around me who actually celebrate achievements in my life and don't just bury them away as if they never happened.

Apartment shopping started quickly. I wanted somewhere small, so we started off looking at smaller ones. One of them was cute but Taylor completely disagreed. "No Ellie, you're not staying here. The kitchen is so small. What on earth are you even cooking in here? You can't even fit a proper fridge not happening!"

She is so stubborn, honestly.

The next one I loved so much but Taylor said the bedroom was too small. Any excuse to be honest.

Apartment 3, Taylor claimed it wouldn't even fit a sofa. She was definitely being dramatic. I rolled my eyes a little. "Snobby cow." I mumbled and she playfully hit my arm.

"Excuse me, who is the one paying? I'm not letting you stay somewhere that I don't approve of." She replied, driving me to the next one. As soon as we walked in I knew it was the one. Taylor had a look on her face too that told me it was the one she loved the most. It was slightly bigger than the others but still cozy and had a great view too. I loved it.

I turned to her and gave her the nod. She also gave me it back before bringing out her cash and counting up the deposit that the landlord had asked for. "When can we start moving her in? We would like to buy it." She told them. The kind mad had a smile on his face before accepting the offer and giving me more information.

We went home that night and finally cuddled up happily on the sofa. "I am honestly so proud of you, you will never understand how happy I am that you came to me and wanted to do this. I can't wait to watch you do so well. Im just not ready to see you move away." She told me. I felt her gently brushing through my hair with her fingers so I cuddled a little closer and let out a happy smile.

"You don't have to always get so soppy." I told her, causing her to laugh. Travis came through the door, his training outfit still on. I looked over and waved a little and it was a matter of seconds before Taylor had told him everything about our day. It was clear that she couldn't wait to finally start decorating with me.

Despite knowing that I still had time before leaving , I didn't feel ready. I was going to move away from the two people who saved me and it was so scary to me. It was all happening so quickly too.
