Ellie's POV
I somehow woke up the next day in the middle of Taylor and Travis, how we switched I do not know but we did. I was cuddled right up to Taylor who was just laying on her phone looking fed up. Eventually I stretched my arms a little and sat up. "Finally! You two sleep in so late all the time!"she told me and I frowned a little.
"Taylor, it's 9:30, that isn't late." I told her and she rolled her eyes. She demanded both Travis and I get up and out of bed because she wanted a family day. We both complained but she wasn't having any of it.
"Get out of bed, you can't spend your life sleeping." She told me as she pulled back the covers.
"Yes mom!" I said as a joke. She laughed along and just dragged me out of bed. For some reason I was missing home a lot more than I usually do. After we ate breakfast Taylor wanted to go to the beach for the day but I told her that I wanted to stay at the hotel. She questioned a lot but I explained that I was just overtired and wanted to rest a little.
They left and I just got straight back into their bed. I tried to call my parents but there was no answer, I tried all of my friends but again, nothing. They were probably asleep anyway. I started to really question if I had made the right decision moving away so young, I just wanted to see my friends, or even talk to them. Our schedules were all clashing so much that it was impossible.
I found myself crying in bed for a while until I fell asleep. By the time I woke up Taylor was next to me gently playing with my hair and watching tv. "Good morning sleepy head." She laughed, she was still in her bikini with some shorts and a cover up on. They must have only got back recently.
"Travis is in the shower we just got back but you've been crying." She said as she looked down at me and wiped the tear stains off my cheeks. I immediately shifted my gaze to the tv. "What's going on in your head babes?" She asked and I shrugged a little.
"If you tell me, I can help. You don't have to but I'm sure I could help if you do." She told me and I nodded, choosing not to. I huffed a little and just watched whatever Taylor was watching. I heard her sigh a little before brushing some hair out of my face and laying beside me.
The more we lay there the more I thought about it. I decided it probably would be best to just tell Taylor how I felt. She normally helps me out.
"I miss home." I told her, I stayed quiet so that at least of she didn't hear me I wouldn't have to stress about her reply. She heard me. "Do you want to go visit?" She asked me.
I looked up at her and nodded before realizing it's not even possible. There's too many tour dates and not enough time to get there and back. She smiled and grabbed her phone. "We will go straight from tonight's show. I'll get it all sorted."
There was no way I was going to believe her so I smiled a little. We got on with our day and did the show as usual, however Taylor was serious, as soon as we got off stage we were rushed to her private jet. I was in absolute shock.
I hadn't even packed any clothes or burns any form of entertainment for the plane but I'm pretty sure Taylor had my back when she held up many bags. "I packed board games, coloring, blankets, pillows, and I even downloaded some movies on the iPad. It's like almost a 20 hour flight but I'm sure we will be entertained." She told me and Travis.
Travis informed me that this is not all for Taylor but I really don't believe him. She colors on her flights? No way.
I don't really feel like doing any activities so I just grabbed a blanket and lay my head down in Taylor. She started coloring and I laughed at her a little. "It's not funny, it's productive. Do you want me to put a movie on for you?" I shook my head.
I just rested for a while. We all slept for a while but when we woke up Taylor seemed to have too much energy. She was walking around looking for something to do. "Oh I have an idea. Ellie, we need a chat." She told me, sitting next to me.
"About what?" I asked
"Your parents. I know you don't have a great relationship and haven't spoken to them but you can't visit and not go see them. Maybe you could stay with them for a couple of nights." She told me. I really didn't want that but I know it's the right thing to do. It would be unfair to visit home and just not tell them or not visit them.
I just nodded a little. "I'll call them when we land, I could stay there for a day or two I guess." I told her, I made sure to have some uncertainty in my tone so that Taylor could pick up on it. She must have because she put an arm around me and kissed my head. "You'll be fine, we will be in a hotel not far from you and if you need us we can come get you." She told me.
Its not that I didn't believe her but if I went home, it would make me think of the future. About how eventually I'll be stuck in my home with my family, never able to see Taylor or Travis again. Now that I know how it feels to be safe and loved I don't want to lose that. I fear that I will if I go home.
