Ellie's pov

We flew out and finally made it to the trip. There was snow absolutely everywhere and it was so beautiful to see. We hired a cozy log cabin and there was a fireplace that was huge. Taylor and Travis began trying to figure out how to light it. In the apartment there isn't space for a large fire like that one so neither of them have much experience at all.

Once they managed- a few YouTube videos later, I gave them a cheer and congratulated them. They both chuckled and headed to the kitchen. They were in there for a while talking which made me feel a bit left out. Did they bring me here just to spend time together and leave me sitting around alone?

I decided to just go in and find them. Taylor and Travis were making out and my drink that they had made me was sitting on the counter still. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the glass then took a sip. "Hey, you okay?" Taylor asked.

I nodded and walked back out, leaving them two to do whatever. When I was half way through a movie they came in and cuddled up on the sofa next to me. Taylor invited me to cuddle up so I made my way over and lay my head in her lap. She started playing with my hair. "What are we watching?" She asked.

"I'm watching it, not you. I'll finish it on my iPad in bed." I told her. I got up and went to my room where I got out my iPad and put my AirPods in. I spent the evening watching movies until I fell asleep.

Taylor came in way too early the next day to wake me up. I hate mornings but I managed to force myself out of bed to go skiing. I got into my ski gear before breakfast and while they got ready I ate. By 10 am we were at the mountain and putting on our skis.

Going up the ski lift I started to get a little bit nervous about how this would go. I've always wanted to go skiing but my parents never took me and I had no idea what I was doing at all. Taylor and Travis were quite quiet today and weren't saying much to me which was a bit weird.

As we got to the top Taylor and Travis held hands over to the edge and I followed behind struggling to stay up on the flat ground. Taylor and Travis went down first and I slowly started getting closer to the edge. I started going down however it wasn't too long before I lost my balance and started sliding down on my butt.

I could see Taylor and Travis in the distance and before I could even ask them for help or to move out of the way I crashed straight into Taylor. I really hurt my wrist but I couldn't think of anything to say. I just lay in the snow crying to myself. As if I didn't feel bad enough I could hear Taylor crying in pain and Travis trying to help her.

"Ow no don't move it! No that hurts! Fucking great I have a tour to finish and this happens." She told Travis. As soon as she mentioned the tour I panicked. I just stayed silent. Travis called the emergency rescue line and I just watched with tears in my eyes.

They took her off and Travis turned to me. I kept hold of my hurt wrist and looked up at him in fear. I thought he could yell at me for hurting Taylor but he didn't. Instead he reached out his hand for me to take but I just stared at him in fear.

"Oh god are you hurt too? I'm so sorry that I didn't share my attention too. I should have helped you. I feel terrible. Come on, I'll get us down. don't worry about Tay, accidents happen and you didn't mean to hurt her." He told me. I got up and followed him down safely this time then he took me to first aid where I got some ice for my wrist. Taylor was there with doctors checking her out and I tried to smile at her but instead of returning it she just looked away.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled but I don't think she heard me. Travis put an arm around me.

"She knows you are, she's just in pain. I don't think she knows that you're hurting too. Here, take my card. Why don't you get a drink in the cafe and we will join you when we know that she's okay?" He told me, holding it out for me. I slowly nodded and thanked him before heading to the cafe. I didn't get a drink because I didn't want to use up all of their money so instead I just watched people skiing out of the window.

After about an hour Taylor and Travis came over. Taylor had a bit of a limp and Travis had his arm wrapped around her. I thought they wanted to go but when I stood up to leave Travis told me to sit back down. "What would you like to drink? I'll get some drinks." He asked.

Taylor told him what she wanted and I said I was fine then he left. I looked at Taylor who had tear stains on her cheeks where her makeup had come off. She seemed a lot chirpier than earlier and she gave me a smile. "What happened?" She asked.

"Nothing." I mumbled, looking down at the ice on my wrist.

She reached over to move it away then gasped. "Oh my god. Did this happen when we fell? You've had some help right? I'm so sorry I didn't even know." She started panicking and limped around the table to my side and took a better look. I snatched my hand away and held it close to me.

"It just hurts. I'll be fine." I replied. I don't want her sympathy now, she blanked me and didn't even care to check if I was okay too. She can have the silent treatment for the rest of the day.
