Blane Orson
________

(A few days before the proposal)

Aliyah had finally left the hospital, when I had invited her father down to have a talk.

I know I want to marry her, I just know and its just as I know she is the one I'll love for the rest of my life.

Mr. Rain walks through the door, " Hey boy..how are you doing? " I glance up at him. " I'm doing good Mr. Rain, how are you? "

He stands at the foot of my bed, holding onto the rail. Wearing a dark navy suit, with a black button up underneath it.

Even if he's almost 50 years old, he looks young as 30. Sharp, as a knife..literally.

" I'm doing good, so what could I help you with? " He shuffles his feet slightly. Why am I nervous? It's just Aliyah's father.

Well..it's Aliyah's FATHER,  he's the head of the American empire..and is known for his old fashioned way of slaughtering people.

His eyes alone could scare a grown man, the same color as Aliyah's. Deep blue, that hides a lot of pain from the surface.

Mr. Rain covers it alongside his daughter, with the weight in the eyes.

Looking back at Aliyah's baby pictures, which her mother showed me...her eyes were bright blue. But now, they were a heavy blue.

I wonder if it was Lakens passing, that made that change. All the tears that streamed down her face, that I couldn't wipe.

" Mr Rain, I'm truly inlove with your daughter. She's saved me in several ways, and I want to spend my entire lifetime by her side. "

" I know many people don't even believe in parents blessings, but I'm one of the people who do. So Mr Rain, with your permission could I marry your daughter? " I take a deep breath, as I finished the question.

His lips curve up into a slight smile, " Blane..there are no other person on this world that I would rather my daughter marry. "

" It would be an honor for you to marry her, yet along be my son-in law. So yes, you have my blessing to marry my daughter. "

Thank god, that went a lot better than I imagined in my head. Overthinking can literally kill a person.

I'm engaged. IM ENGAGED. I AM ENGAGED TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.

Oh my god, I literally can't believe it actually happened. I done it, I proposed to Aliyah and she said yes.

We're getting married, one day. It's sooner rather than later, at least I know that.

Taking a bite of my ice cream, and then scooping another and feeding it to her. She loves cookie dough way better than cotton candy, in her opinion cookie dough is the best flavor in the world.

Cotton candy is sweet, a lot of people don't strike me as I guy that loves the flavor but it's amazing.

Blaire was the one who started me on it, and I've loved it since. I can't wait to get home to tell my siblings the news, especially Blaire.

Blaire was on point with her prediction that me and Aliyah would end up together. She'll be the most excited I think, besides Brynn.

Blaken, and Boston love Aliyah but just not as much as the others do. Blaken has a huge crush on Aliyah, and Boston is just too sassy to really like anyway.

I pray for her future boyfriend or husband, because he'll have a lot of his hands.

Boston is only 7 and she's already boy crazy, so I can't imagine her as a teenage. I love her to death though.

Holding Aliyah in my arms, as she's on my lap facing me smiling. " Your a big softie Blane Orson, you can admit it now. "

Only for her. Only ever for her. The day she dies, is when any part of me that isn't already dead..dies.

" What can I say Lemon, you have that affect on me." I smile at her, lovingly. She'd press a kiss on my cheek, " And I love that I have that affect on you. "

Starting to feel my cheeks flush, I shake my head smiling. Slowly laying down on the ground, I lower Aliyah down ontop of me.

Her legs laying between mine, as her body is laid on mine.

Those beautiful blue eyes gazing upon mine, so gorgeously. The long eyelashes batting themselves at me, as I chuckled.

Those eyes that I know so well, keeping eye contact with my brown ones.

Like they say, brown eyes will always love blue eyes. Just like her parents, Mr and Mrs Rain..blue eyes for her father, and brown beaty doe eyes for her mother.

Aliyah has the shape of her mothers, and the color of her fathers. Such a perfect mix, that makes the perfect eye.

" Dance with me, Lemon baby. " I ask her. She smiles jumping up, " Of course Orson, I'll always dance with you. "

Standing up, my hand holds onto her waist as our hands loop together into the air. " If I have to dance though, we need some music..care to help me with that? "

She wants me to sing, and I'll do it for her. Singing is a raw element of love, it shows a lot of emotion.

But I want to give everything to Aliyah, and I'll continue to do so. Beginning to hum a melody, my favorite song.

I've always been an oldies lover, even though it makes me sound like an 80 year old me. My absolute favorite song is ' Unchained Melody' it's a classic.

Her soft voice begins to sing along with the lyrics, as we dance together under the sunset. The pink and orange colors radiating in the sky, as beautiful as Aliyah.

Just Aliyah is so so much more beautiful, than anything on this planet. I've never met or seen someone as beautiful as her, she beats everything on sight.

She unleashes her voice, as she sings the song quiet enough for only the two of us to here.

So soft, yet so powerful her voice is made to be. So captivating to anyone who has the pleasure of hearing it.

The song slowly ends, as we both quiet down and head back to the car. I open the door for her, as she gets in and then I closed it.

Walking around the car, I get in and pull out onto the road. My hand over her thigh, she puts hers over mine.

" You know, your voice is beautiful Lemon. " I squeeze her thigh gently.

She looks out the window, glancing back at me a few times. " I haven't even heard yours, but the humming you done was beautiful. " She squeezes my hand.

Chuckling as I shake my head, " Not as beautiful as yours..yours was as beautiful as you. " Taking a corner sharp, I slam on the breaks having flash-backs.

Thank god both of us had our seatbelts, because I slung us forward in frantic breaths. She grips her chest, before turning towards me.

My heart beats 20 times harder, as I remember the feeling of rolling through the field.

The harsh flips my body took, and the glass pieces tearing the flesh of my body. The smell of the burning metal that flooded my nostrils.

The sharp pains that engulfed my entire body, as I blacked out. The burning coffee stinging the cuts, feeling the intensity so much higher.

Aliyah's hand grab my jaw, " Blane..it's okay. Just breathe, and come back. Come back to me, okay? " I place my hand over hers, slowing down my breathing.

I'm not in that car, I'm not in the car that rolled in a field. I'm not in a dark room being beaten alive, and I'm not scared boy who was beaten by his own father.

I'm not the man I used to be, and I'm not sure if it should scare me or not.
