"Minji, you're going to have to let go of me now, we need to go to a meeting," I giggle out, my heart immediately melting at the pout she gives me. We're in her office, cuddled up as we work and it doesn't look like she's letting go anytime soon.
I check the clock on the wall and we only have 2 minutes to get to the conference room. I look at Minji and she's still hugging me like a little kid with their teddy bear. I sigh, a small smile plastering itself across my face as I press a kiss to her cheek. She's really acting like a child right now.
"We can cuddle later as well you know? This is an important meeting Minji," I try and coax her.
"You're more important than a stupid meeting," she retorts, finally pulling away and getting up.
My heart skips a beat at her words and I have to look away to hide the blush that's creeping up on me. Minji laughs at my flustered state, taking my hand and pulling me towards the door.
"You're so cute," she says adoringly.
"You tell me that everyday," I feign an eye roll and she ruffles my hair.
"I'm just stating facts," she shrugs.
As we walk down the grey carpeted hall, the smell of paper and coffee attacking our noses, I feel people's eyes on us, and the buzz of their silent whispers seems deafening in my ears. I gulp nervously, tightening my grip on Minji's hand. Now that we're no longer confined in her office, the reality of the outside world hits harder than I can handle.
Minji being both good looking and kind, of course people would fall for her. Every single day, I'd see her sorting through a bunch of gifts and love letters from her admirers seeking her attention. When she walks through the office, all eyes are on her as though she is a strong magnet, her being the north pole and the entirety of the building being the south pole. I swear I can literally see the workers shooting hearts at her from their eyes.
And now, knowing we're dating, I'm under more scrutiny than ever. I'm not so popular within the office. I'm known for being the selfish ice cold princess who has her head too deep within her ass to see anyone but herself. Basically, I'm a certified bitch. So how would you think people would react when we get together?
"I can't believe Miss Kim chose her out of all people," Mr Lim whispers to one of his friends, his voice full of disgust and resentment as though I'm a poop in his toilet.
"She could do so much better than that useless bitch," Miss Jung spits, her hips swaying in a sassy almost seductive way as she passes.
I lower my head, scrunching my eyes shut as the words swirl around my head like an unwelcome tornado in my head.
"She must've seduced her, I've always got that slut vibe about her," Miss Jang adds, and I feel her looking my way.
As we enter the conference room, all eyes are on us. Murmurs ripple in soft waves around the space, the employees waiting for the meeting to start. Minji gives me a quick kiss on the cheek before she goes to the front to greet the company's potential new business partner. Damn, I'm alone now.
"Is that Miss Kim's secretary? I heard they're dating now, I wonder what dirty tricks that slut pulled," Mr Yang's quiet yet loud whisper reaches my ears.
'Slut'. Why do people keep calling me that? I'm with Minji because I love her! Not because of anything else! They have no idea what they're talking about and deep down I know they're wrong, yet I can't help but let their words get to me.
"Miss Kim probably only took pity upon her because of the recent case, it honestly seems so far fetched, that bitch is probably lying, I heard she killed her aunt," Mr Lim chuckles in a mocking tone.
