THE END OF THE STORM

'I''I''I''I''I''I'

LORENZO FELL INTO HIS BED and turned to lay on his back, still wearing the clothes he had been wearing for almost two days now. Putting the arm on over his eyes, he groaned loudly. Almost two days. That was how long Victoria was gone. Oscar and George were able to get the information on the photos. It turned out it was a random blond guy with his girl, having some fun in the club. George found what was used to take the pictures, but he was still working on finding out who took it. All of them hoped that they would be able to find the owner of the camera, leading them to Victoria.

Enzo did not want to come home while they were still searching for Victoria, but Eddie made him go. Lorenzo had twelve breakdowns total and his best friend was worried about him, so he forcefully sat him in the car, told him to go home, have a shower and some sleep and then come back here. Also, Eddie told the driver not to listen to Enzo and bring him home, no matter what the broken man was going to order him. So, that was why he was lying in his bed in old clothes. He wanted to be there with his people, but he also knew that Eddie was right and he would do everything he could to continue the search. And Enzo knew it was the right thing to make Eddie his right-hand man.

Lorenzo lay in bed for a few more minutes and then got up to go to the bathroom. He removed his old clothes and took a long shower. Then he dressed in comfortable clothes and went back to bed. His body was begging for sleep, but he did not know if he would be able to fall asleep. He grabbed his phone and responded to Gabriella's message. Eddie told her this morning as calmly as he could, trying not to put her under a lot of stress. She was the only one who did not know and they could not keep her in the dark anymore.

He rolled onto his side, eyes lingering on the empty space where Victoria should have been. The bed felt hollow without her, a cold void where warmth used to be. Just four months ago, she was the last person he wanted to see, yet now... Now, he could not stand being in this bed, in this house, without her. The emptiness gnawed at him, an aching reminder that something vital was missing—and it was her. It only had been two days since she went missing and he was already feeling like he was going crazy without her. Fuck, he missed her.

Enzo clutched her pillow, drawing it close as if it could fill the gap she left behind. Her scent lingered there, delicate and familiar, stirring something deep inside him. He breathed it in, eyes closing as her image flooded his mind—her smile, so effortless and real. The bed sheets smelled like her too and he was desperate to hold on to any part of her he could. The scent was a lullaby, soothing him to sleep, but his eyes snapped open as a sudden realization gripped him.
