the wedding
The sun was setting over the beach, casting a warm orange glow over the sand. The waves were gently rolling in, creating a peaceful sound. It was the perfect setting for Dev and Khalee's wedding.
Dev stood near the water, wearing a sharp black tuxedo. She felt a mix of excitement and nerves as she watched their closest friends and family gather. The smell of the ocean and tropical flowers filled the air, adding to the beauty of the evening.
Khalee appeared from behind a group of palm trees. She wore a beautiful white dress that sparkled in the fading sunlight. Her mom, Margaret, walked beside her, looking proud and happy. Dev's heart beat faster as Khalee came closer, feeling more in love than ever.
Their friend, who was going to marry them, stood ready with a big smile. Dev and Khalee looked at each other, holding hands. The rest of the world seemed to disappear, leaving just the two of them and the sound of the waves.
"Dearly beloved," their friend began, "we are here today to celebrate the love of Dev and Khalee. Their story shows us the power of love and the joy of finding your soulmate."
Dev remembered the day she first met Khalee. It felt like fate had brought them together. She squeezed Khalee's hand, feeling grateful for every moment they had shared.
"Dev, do you take Khalee to be your wife, to love her through good times and bad, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both live?" their friend asked.
"I do," Dev said firmly, her eyes shining with love.
"And Khalee, do you take Dev to be your wife, to love her through good times and bad, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both live?"
"I do," Khalee answered, never taking her eyes off Dev.
They exchanged rings, simple bands that symbolized their commitment. As they slid the rings onto each other's fingers, the sun dipped lower, casting a golden light over them. Their friends and family clapped and cheered as Dev and Khalee shared their first kiss as a married couple.
With hands tightly clasped, they turned to face their loved ones, smiling brightly. The celebration continued with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches. The beach was lit with fairy lights and the soft glow of the moon, creating a magical atmosphere.
Later that night, Dev and Khalee found a quiet moment alone under the stars. Khalee leaned into Dev's arms. "This is just the beginning," she whispered. "I can't wait to spend my life with you."
"Me too," Dev replied, her heart full of love. "And I can't wait to start our family."
Under the stars, Dev held Khalee close, marveling at the reality of their marriage. She could hardly believe they had finally done it.

Dev kissed Khalee's forehead. "And it'll only get better from here, I promise."
As the night went on, they sat by a campfire, reminiscing about the day.
"I'm so excited to tell Tav about all the little details she missed," Khalee said, a touch of excitement in her voice.
Dev laughed. "Tav was a wreck this morning, trying to hold back her tears. It was adorable."
Khalee giggled. "I noticed Davia sneaking a tissue during the vows. It was so sweet."
Dev then took a deep breath and brought up something she had been thinking about. "Khalee, I've been thinking... What do you think about adopting a little one soon?"
Khalee's grin widened. "I've been thinking about it non-stop, Dev. I'm ready to start that next chapter together."
Dev's eyes softened. "Me too. We'll begin the process as soon as we get back home."
The next morning, Dev and Khalee snuggled together, enjoying the peaceful morning.
"Good morning, Mrs. Basque," Dev greeted, a playful tone in her voice.
Khalee giggled. "Good morning, Mrs. Basque." They shared a kiss. "I slept so well. I'm so excited for our honeymoon adventures."
Dev's eyes twinkled. "I have some surprises planned involving exploration, relaxation, and romantic dinners."
Khalee's eyes lit up with anticipation. "I can't wait."
Later, they shared their dreams for the future.
"Where do you see us in five years?" Dev asked.
Khalee thought for a moment. "I hope we have a little one running around, maybe two, living in our dream house, and continuing to support each other in everything."
Dev nodded, smiling. "I see the same. We'll make it happen, one step at a time."
Together, they clinked their glasses, toasting to their beautiful future. The sound of the waves and their laughter echoed into the night, marking the beginning of their happily ever after.
