5 Months Later
The Vanishing PointMonths have passed since the Paragons encounter with the White Shadow Demon, the death of The Monitor, and disappearance of Deja. They were sent to the Vanishing Point so Mobius couldn't find them, but to them it felt like a prison with no way to actually escape.
Supergirl lost all her hope, and began to succumb to the fact that everything might be lost forever and nothing will be the same again.
Wonder Woman does nothing but train all day, keeping her skills and senses sharp. All the while masking how she really feels about everything. She lost her kid, her mother, and the entire race of the Amazons. She's lost a lot but never grieved any of it.
Superman tries to remain hopeful that everything will be saved and everyone will be alright but even his facade is see through, he's downright depressed. I would think he's made to go insane any second now.
Batman, he's brooding as usual. Often meditates. His courage and bravery never wavers but he seems to be connecting with his inner self more. He's stopping himself from going mad with everything that has happened recently.
Dreamer and Scarlet Sorceress, they're keeping each other level headed but ever since they got here, they haven't stopped trying to think of waves to escape and fight the Anti-Monitor. Between her Oneiric Energy and Polaris's chaos magic, I think they have undoubtedly ruled out that all of existence has been wiped out except for the Vanishing Point.
And Nightwing, he's trying to make a silver lining about this whole situation. Occasionally he'll help Bruce, Dreamer, and Scarlet Sorceress think of a plan and a way to escape but honestly what he thinks about most is Deja, and he worries about her constantly. Nobody has no idea where she is or if she's even alive. Even Polaris can't telepathically sense her.
This event has broke even the strongest of heroes mentally, causing them to sometimes bump heads with each other, say things they don't mean. Everything was making them fail, the lack of future was making them fail. Nobody knew what to do, yet everybody did something. One way or another, they all knew what must be done. Stopping the Anti-Monitor.
Unknown Location
Deja began to regain consciousness, taking in her unfamiliar surroundings but earthly familiar. She knew she wasn't on earth but everything looked like earth. Her friends were also missing, not even a clue to if they were there or not.
She stood up, feeling a weird feeling run through her body. A feeling she has never felt before. She sighed as she looked around, taking a few more looks. Just as she turned around again, she saw a man standing in front of her. She gasped a little bit, completely unaware that he was even standing there.
"Who are you?" She questioned. "Where am I?"
"My name is Jim Corrigan." He spoke to her, he sounded slightly authoritative but not so much, a better word would be, wise. He sounded very wise. "And you are in Purgatory."
"Woah wait, am I dead?"
"Well, no." He revealed truthfully. "Usually you would be dead to be in Purgatory but I'm guessing your friend Constantine bypassed that."
Deja smiled softly. "Yeah." He frowned soon leaving, realizing Constantine died. "Why am I here? And where's the rest of my friends, the rest of the Paragons."
"They are safe for now." He told her. "You're here to serve a higher purpose, as I once did when I was a Spectre."
Deja tsked. All of it made sense now. "Oh, right, you, The Spectre. The High and Mighty but Unseen. Also the guy who wants to bound to my soul, lovely."
