Sang

  I feel someone lightly shake me softly saying. "Pookie we here can you wake up." I heard Sean say but i didn't want to wake up.I try and snuggle back close to the warm hard thing that I was sleeping against keeping my eyes closed.
"Can we just carry her in and let her stay asleep? I hate to wake her." I hear Luke say.
"I would too. I just don't want her waking somewhere new and getting frightened. If I wake her now I hope she remembers us and not be scared." I finally open my eyes and look around. I look up and see I'm still leaning on Luke and he smiles at me. I smile shyly back and look over my shoulder and see Sean smiling at me. "There you are Pookie. Look at those pretty green eyes. Sorry to wake you, but I didn't want to scare you picking you up. Ok sweetheart.' I smile and nod.
"May I pick you up." I nod again. I lay my head back on his chest after he picks me up. He moves back and turns. I see Owen by his car door. By the very big house door was a older boy. He looked older then Owen and Sean. More near my father's age. He had wise gentle eyes. There is also two girls next to him. There was a bed on wheels between them. The one looks about Marie's age is frowning at me and looks mean and scary. Other girl is closer to my mother's age. She has a sweet smile, but I'm still scared of her. I put my face into Sean's shirt shaking my head no.
"What's wrong Pookie noone is going to hurt you." I feel him stop moving whispering softly to me.
"She got scared when she saw the nurses.  Mrs Anderson told me she might be scared of wemon, because her mom and sister hurt her." I hear Owen say.
I hear, I think the older of the two girls calmly say. " I think me and nurse aid Williams will go back in and make sure noone is in the hallways. The girl dont need the stress. I think Dr Green should just carry her. She is clinging to him like hes her life line."
I hear the other girl say. "You just going to spoil her. She is just acting overly dramatic." She sounds angry like my mother and sister.
"Miss Williamson you may go home. I don't think this is the summer job is for you." I heard the other girl say.
"You not my boss nurse Lee. I am a Williams and you cant talk to me that way. I tell my father you was rude to me and he have your boss fire you." I hear the mean girl say.
"Miss Jade Williams. I am nurse Lee's boss. She is your boss and so am I as this is my hospital. You may go home. You may have you father call me I will be happy tell him of your behavior. I have seen you flirting with the young men and be rude to any young ladies. You try to do very little and don't always do tasks you are set. We are a family here. If we see something that needs doing even nasty jobs we just do it. Unless it something that you can't do because you don't have the training. Then you get a nurse or doctor. I have seen you leave spills on the floor and not clean it up. As this is a hospital we have alot of videos I'll be happy to show him." I hear the older boy say. His voice reminds me of mother's father. Maybe he will have those sweets like mother's father use to sneak me.
"I am not getting paid to pick up someone's pee off the floor. I didn't know what the puddle on the floor was" The mean girl saids. I think she is like my mother and Marie. Dhe reminds me of them. I try to burrow more in to Sean's chest
"Miss Williams, I'm also your boss as this is my hospital too. You need to leave so I can bring my patient in. I dont have time for your brattiness." I look up. I have not heard Sean sound angry before. Then I hear him softly say. "It's ok Pookie. Sorry I talked so loud. Hope I didn't scare you sweetheart?"
I looked back when I hear the girl stomp off. I see the older girl go back in with the bed on wheels I relax as is only the older boy left. I feel Sean start move over to him.
"Pookie let me introduce my friend, mentor, and like a second father Dr Philip Roberts." I hear Sean say. I look up at the older boy and smile before lowing my eyes again.
"Little bird you can call me Phil. I have something for you would you like a piece of strawberry candy?" He asks gently. I look up at Sean. He nods at me. I look back at Phil and nods. He gives me something that looked like the sweety that mother's father gave me just different. I undo it like I was shown before and put in my mouth. That was so good I give Phil a big smile.
"Well I think she likes it." I hear Phil say.
"Where's mine" I hear both Sean and Luke say at same time.
I hear Owen say " Should she have sugar right now. It won't hurt her will it?" I look up as Phil gives both Sean, Luke, and Owen a piece of sweetie each. I see Owen smile and shake his head at Phil who puts the sweetie back into his pocket.
"That little bit of sugar shouldn't hurt her. It's a very small piece. She looks little pale and shocky and little bit of sugar may help. Let's take her in. We going take her to the private room on the 3rd floor." Phil informed the. Sean carried me past Phil to a funny door and pushed a round button that turned colors. Then it opened scaring me and I hid my face into Sean chest again.
"Sshhh Pookie it's ok it's just the elevator it will take us upstairs so we don't have go up stairs. It feel weird as it moves but I have you and won't let anything happen. Look Phil, Owen and Luke are here too." He kept talking softly to me as the room moved. It made my tummy feel weird. It stopped and the doors opened and Sean started moving again out of the moving room. I see a big room like a big living room with alot of sofas and chairs. There was alot of boys there. Looks like the ones Luke said was his family. And the girl I think they said was nurse Lee was hugging on the guys.
"Pookie that's our family we introduce you to them slowly, but can I introduce you to Gabriel so he can look at you. Hes good at knowing what sizes people are and he loves to shop. Hes going to get you some clothes ok. He is s a good guy. Hes also Luke's best friend." I look over at Luke, who nods and smiles. He then goes over to one the boys and brings him over. This boys hair was different it had some different colors in front from rest of his hair.
"Cupcake this my best friend Gabriel or Gabe." Luke saids I see Owen walk up behind them.
The boy Gabe said." I'm going call you my Trouble as me and you will cause lot fun trouble. May I touch your hair. It's so pretty." I nod and he touches my hair saying" I claim your hair. I'm going clean it and brush it later ok. Mmm you look about Jessica's size. Do you like the pink color of that night gown you wearing." I look down and shrug. I see Owen give something to Gabe.
"Just get her a few basics right now. You can take her shopping when shes feeling better. Take North with you so he can drive." I hear Owen say.
"Bye Trouble I will see you soon" I watch him go up to a tall boy. They and another big boy with pictures on his body start to walk away.
"Ok Pookie let go in to this room and let Phil look at you ok." I look up at Sean and nod and yawn. I was so tired.
He carries me to a bed. It looked weird it look like one end was up. There were all kind of scary things around it. He sits me on the bed as I look around scared.
"It's ok Pookie I'll be right here whole time. I know you scared of wemon, but I'm going to have nurse Lee be in the room as Dr. Robert looks at you ok. It's just to keep everything proper ok. Plus we need to take your dirty clothes off and put you in a gown. Ok?"
I nod. I reach down and try to pull my clothes off but it made my shoulder hurt. I hear him laugh. "Let me help you so you dont hurt yourself. That a big bruise on your shoulder and I don't want it rubbing on the sores on your face. Mm it might be easier to cut it off so you don't have to lift your arm." I watch him rummage in a drawer next to him. He brings out some funny looking scissors. He starts to cut my clothes off. He gently pulls everything off as he cuts it.
Once I'm naked he shakes out some funny looking thing with 2 sleeves on it. "Ok Pookie put a arm in each hole please." I do what he said and he wraps it behind me and ties it.
"There you go don't that feel better. Now Dr Roberts going do alot stuff. Remember I said stuff might be scary and some might hurt a little. You can hold my hand. If it gets to much just squeeze my hand tight" I nod at him as I hold his hand tight. I see nurse Lee standing at a counter near a small sink. She looks to have a pen in her hand. I've seen father with them before. She smiles at me when she sees me looking at her. I smile shyly back but not ready to trust her.
I see Phil with stuff on a tray coming over to me. Then he pulls a chair on wheels in front of me and sits. It makes me feel taller then him.
"Ok Little bird I'm going cheek you over ok" I nod and kind feel myself blank everything out. Like I do when mother would punish me.
I hear Sean say "I'm here Pookie. It's ok sweetheart?" Making me feel safe as I doze off.

Sean's Pv

I look worriedly at Dr Roberts when. My Pookie fell a sleep sitting there.
    "She is ok Sean. I think it has alot to do with her feeling safe and she had alot of stress. Corey showed me the video. If she stays asleep through the checkup it will go faster." I nod.
   "Let me know what you need me to do." I respond.
   "It always amazes me how you can get people and animals to trust you Dr Green. Even when you was younger I'd see you gain the trust of a kid with a skinned knee on the playground, while you clean it and put a bandage on it. To a scared kitten someone dropped off on side of the road and having it purring and sleeping in your lap." I hear Mama Lee say softly over by the sink. Ready to write down any notes Dr Roberts gives.
"Thank you Mama Lee. You are special too. I was glad to hear from Kota you was starting here this morning." I blow her a kiss and she laughs softly. She was someone special, treating all of us like her own kids. Even the Tomas team when they started to join us on missions. Mmm wonder if I can talk her in to make me a apple pie. Mmmm.
