i'm sick for you baby, and it's never gonna go away

nelson laid in bed sulking all day, the elena situation had him messed up which his whole family could notice. he canceled all his plans for the day, saying he just 'needed a day off.' bs his brothers claimed.

noah peeked into his brother's room to see him faced the other way scrolling away on his phone. he tiptoed over and quickly hit him over the head with a pillow.

"what the fuck?" nelson let out, he sat up, caught off guard. "bro get the fuck up and stop acting like this OVER A GIRL! I know you really like el but cmon dude."

noah understood nelson's feelings for her, but he still didn't see a good enough reason for him to be rotting in bed all day. it's not like they went through a terrible breakup.

"she apologized, you forgave her, why are you still all heartbroken over it?" he asked, nelson laid back down, running his hands through his hair.

"her kissing him just proves she doesn't want to be with me. I would never do that." he gave his brother an emotionless face "I literally would never do that."

noah sighed, nelson was in deep. "she promised it wouldn't happen again, trust her until she gives you a reason not to."

"she literally-" nelson starts but noah holds his hand out to cut him off "I mean again, not counting what happened."

they hear footsteps approaching and soon niles appears at the door with two popsicles in his hand. "I brought you one twin" he throws one to nelson and starts unwrapping the other one for himself.

"aye what about me?" noah furrows his eyebrows, niles shrugs "you're not the depressed one are you?" nelson hands his popsicle to noah "I don't want it."

"nelson stop being delusional. so what she kissed another boy? she ain't your girlfriend." niles rolls his eyes at what he was witnessing, just plain dramatic.

"alright niles let's not be mean, bro's hurting." noah defends nelson who glares at their little brother "niles is right, I need to get up."

"oh? that's right, stand on business!" noah starts to hype him up, nelson finally pulls himself out of bed making niles clap too.

"YEAH STAND ON BUSINESS."

nelson indeed did not stand on business. there he was checking elena's reposts for the twelfth time that day. earlier he managed to go out to dinner with his brothers and some friends. but now that he was home it meant right back to thinking about her.

all her reports in the past day had literally nothing to do with him or any kind of boy, which irritated him because that's usually how he dissects her new feelings.

at this point he wished that all his feelings would just go away, he didn't want to like her that much, and he didn't like how much she was consuming him.

meanwhile, elena was still in atlanta, fortunately she wasn't with any more boys other than the amp members and her brother.

usually she let them do their boy things while she chilled in the room doing her thing. right now she was packing, the twins will fly out to ohio from atlanta for the rwe tournament.

she dreaded seeing nelson again because everything that went down, but she was also happy that she got to see him and actually act on their feelings.

she's folding her clothes when she hears her phone vibrating, when she picks it up she sees niles' face on the screen.

elena slid to accept and immediately niles with a smile popped up "el you answered!" she laughed as she waved "duhh heyy niles."

you could tell that he was laying down his bed, turned on to his side and took a breathe before letting it all out. "nelson has been sad all day, he literally did not get out of bed until me and noah went in there and had to force him out. he's so delusional it's getting out of hand, I know you like kissed another guy or whatever and that was like really wrong but you apologized but that still wasn't enough so you need to do something."

elena raised an eyebrow at the boy, trying to process everything he just said. "so how is nelson right now?" niles shrugged "I don't know! probably moping again which is why you need to do something!"

elena made a confused face, she knew it upset nelson but she didn't know he took it too heart THAT much. "but we've been texting and he's been normal? what should I say? reassurance right."

the young boy nodded "literally anything, like he's possessed or something right now." elena couldn't hold back her laugh, he was obviously being dramatic and she felt bad for nelson but still it was funny.

"okay i'll talk to him" she assured the boy, already thinking of what to type in her message to nelson. "good thank goodness" niles replied.

"just let him down easy" he continued, basically insinuating that she was going to reject nelson. both of elena's eyebrows furrowed "what do you mean by that?"

"oh you actually like him?" elena nodded "yes niles, i'm gonna try for us." niles immediately brought a hand to his face "oh my gosh i've been calling nelson delusional this whole time!"

elena shook her head "see that one's on you man." niles politely said bye to the girl, saying that he was gonna go talk to nelson which she accepted and said bye as well.

in less than 48 hours, she will be back in nelson's presence.
