By the time Glenn and Kyllian joined up with Daryl and Rick, Daryl had already managed to find some clues.
"Everyone's secure in the house," Kyllian told Rick.
"Good," he nodded. "Glenn, you go with Daryl. Kyllian, you're with me."
They split up into two separate duo's without uttering another word. Rick's pace was incredibly fast.
"I didn't think you'd care," Kyllian admitted. "Worst Shane could do is kill Randall, it's what you wanted not so long ago."
"It's not anymore," Rick admitted. "And I'm not so sure it's the worst Shane can do."
He tilted his head. "What do you mean?"
"Ssh, I thought I saw something move," Rick whispered, crouching down and ignoring Kyllian's question.
Kyllian quickly followed him down and looked in the same direction. And indeed something seemed to move in the distance. They creeped closer to get a better look. What they heard was Randall trying to scream through his tape gag. All that came out were muffled whimpers. He was trying to get away, seemingly knowing what fate awaited him if he was taken away far enough.
Rick jumped up and walked forward. "Kyllian, stay back," he whispered as he moved into the clearing. "Shane, what are you doing?"
"Ah, Rick, I knew you'd be the first to follow me. We both know this has to be done." Shane motioned towards Randall with the barrel of his gun. "We have people to protect."
"Not like this. Not by becoming people we'd be afraid of." He walked forward still. He had to get through to his friend. "You have to let him go, Shane."
"He'll bring his people back to us. Think of Carl. Think of Lori and your unborn child!"
"Not like this!" Rick's voice grew louder. "Let go of him and we can talk about it."
"There's nothing to talk about."
Rick rested his hand on his holster. "Shane let him go."
Shane growled and roughly shoved Randall towards Rick. He staggered forward. He'd overheard the entire conversation. Whatever he'd been pushed towards was safer than the man that had him. Rick grabbed him and nudged him further along towards Kyllian.
Kyllian rushed forward and tore the duct tape of his eyes. Randall shrieked from the shock of it, but calmed down when he saw him. He recognized Kyllian as someone who hadn't been cruel to him.
"Come," was the only thing Kyllian said before he began dragging him back towards the farm. He hoped they'd run into Daryl and Glenn. Rick needed their help. But their luck wasn't so and they couldn't go look for them whilst he was dragging Randall along.
Randall managed to get his bearings and tore the duct tape of his mouth as they ran. His limp was getting worse and worse the longer the running went on and eventually he stopped right on the edge of the woods.
"What's happening? Where are you taking me?" he rattled off his questions. "He said he was going to kill me."
"I know what's happening as well as you, which is not at all," Kyllian replied honestly. "We were supposed to bring you somewhere far away today, and that would be it."
"You wanted to leave me in the middle of nowhere with nothing?" He tilted his head. "That's an odd way to execute someone."
"We would've left you with supplies, but we couldn't risk you bringing your people back here. There's kids here." He pushed Randall in the right direction. "See those lights? We need to get to that farmhouse."
