8: Feeder.

Kiana's eyes opened in a frenzy, she scrunched her nose in disgust at the stinky stench that evaded her nose, except that, the bumping of her bed annoyed her to no end.

Groaning, she squinted her eyes at the dust that attacked her irisis, it took her a while to adjust and take in her surrounding as she stretched.

Her hands hit leaves which made her look down, Kiana smiled, glad her hair wasn't on her face, Mama had weaved it together the night before, ignoring that, she assessed her surrounding.

She was in the woods, that was for sure, the blur, green lines at her vision couldn't be her soft purple bed, neither would she why she was hung upside down on it, well except she slept at the wrong angle.
Kiana looked down only to realize she was being carried by a person, an half naked person with grey black skin.

" What the? let me down," she demanded, fighting against the person to be let down, however, she was held tighter, accompanied by a low inhumane growl that made her stopped her actions, her eyes widened as she realized she wasn't in a humans hand.

The low growl of the creature as it ran, a sign of it's breathing, a normal human wouldn't breathe like that, a human couldn't have a grey black skin like that, even the Afrikaans didn't.

Fear prickled her guts, what was happening? How did she get in the woods? And what was the creature that carried her?

Kiana remained quiet, taking her time to think and assess her situation, panicking didn't seem an option to her.

She assessed the creatures broad back, it couldn't be human, no human ran that fast.

'The masked man did,' Kiana thought.

Kiana closed her eyes, a plan forming in her head, as long as she could escape the creatures clutches and get a good look at it, she could escape.

Her eyes searched around, she and the creature were he only one in the woods, no, the woods were gone, all that remained was a vast land covered with outgrown grasses.

Relief flooded through her as she thought that, Mama, Papa and Ana could be at home, safe and sound and of they weren't then-

No, she had to focus, the thought would be for later when she was save and able to protect them, Kiana closed her eyes, she knew she had some kind of power in her, even though she never tried to or even used them before.

Her eyes closed, she searched deep through her, something she had never done before, her heart, soul, and body.

" My heart, my soul, My sundata, give to me what I desire," The strange words flew through her mind like Mama had once asked her to say.

When her eyes closed, they were their normal amber, however, something was different, she inhaled then smiled, as an undescribable force of energy filled her heart and soul.

The Moth slave carrying her continued running till it's breathe slowed, it became harder for it to move and soon,it let out a pain cry and crumbled to the floor.

Taking Kiana with it, Kiana held onto it and such the life out of it, it's soul feed her with energy, so much energy that she felt good.

However, the creature stood to it's feet again and threw her to the floor, only then could she see it's face, it was a human, a human covered in black skin, sharp black nails and completely black and lifeless eyes.

Kiana backed away in shock, the creature didn't give her the chance to flee before it plunged it's nail into her stomach.

" Ahh," she let out a shrill cry as the pain engulfed her.

It bit down on her neck and began sucking her blood, Kiana gasped In shock, she tried prying it off her yet she couldn't, she held on it and sucked on it's energy as it sucked on her blood.

If it would kill her then they would both die together, pain gripped her hard and to a point that she felt numb.

It's energy left her as fast as it filled her, Kiana closed her eyes as her life flashed in her eyes, she could see death knocking at her door.

She chuckled, " you are F-finally h-here,"

Astor ran as fast as he could go, yet it took him half an hour to get to Kiana even with his full speed, the moment he found Kiana and realized what the Moth slave was trying to do, he rammed into the Moth slave which sent it flying, it's back hit a tree and his bone snapped in a loud crack.

The creature stood to it's feet immediately, blood dripping down it's sharp long nails, Astor's eyes widened, the blood will attract deathfogs their way. He looked at Kiana on the floor.

As the Moth slave charged at him, he ducked beneath it and headed for Kiana, the moment he grabbed her, fog filled the place, Astor closed his eyes, held firm on Kiana and took to his heels.

" You will be fine," he promised, dodging and slashing the Deathfogs on his way.

The Moth slave couldn't escape the Deathfogs clutches that was for sure, he had no need to worry for it, Kiana was more important, the moment the spotted the lake of water, He jumped in, dragging Kiana with him.

The Deathfogs at their heels stopped by the water, shrieking and unable to pass by it, they feared water in large scale.

And all the lakes on the land were poisonous to them.

Astor held Kiana down the water, he looked at her lifeless face, she was not awake and the water would suffocate her if she didn't breathe. Sighing, he closed his eyes and covered her lips with his.

When Astor was certain it was safe, he swam out of the water with Kiana.
" Hey! Wake up!" He said softly, cupping her cheek.

When she reminded unmoving, Astor carried her and took her to a cave, the cave was deep in the Death land, the only place the Deathfogs couldn't get to except the lakes.

" I am sorry," he said, looking at her lifeless face, her plum colored dress was covered in red, her face was pale and faint, he needed to heal or she would die, the problem was, he was not an healer and getting one to her or her to one was not an option.

She couldn't be moved from her position and he was to weak to run.
