6: Strange Dream.
Kiana snapped her eyes open, yet darkness clouded her vision as she struggled to reach for fresh air, she was suffocated, something laid on her, no many things.
She pushed through the sea of the things that laid on her until she was out in the open, gasping and breathing heavily, she was able to calm herself down.
Once calm, she glanced around her, a gasp left her mouth as she stared at the sea of bodies around her, just a glance down she realized that the things laying on her were bodies, different kind of bodies.
In fear, she back away from them, gagging at the metallic smell of blood around her, it was not her first time in a war yet she was still unable to handle the sight of the aftermath.
She glanced around in search of a survivor except her, then another person arose from beneath the pile of dead bodies across her, it was a man.
A man in a hard gold armour, " Kiana!" He called, smiling at her, his smile made her feel relieved, though she feared he was hurt as his face was splattered with blood.
Even his strange black braided hair had blood woven deep around it, Kiana felt strange as she looked at the man before her, normal men wouldn't braid their hair like that, that was a look for royals.
He walked over to her while she pondered on the reason a royal would be with her in a place as... Dirty as that. Kiana said nothing neither did she move as he managed to arrive before her.
He reached his hand for her, " we should leave Kian, the Wolfrim will be here soon, we can't fight Them with our little strength." He stated, his voice calm yet the way he looked at her.
Shaking, Kiana held his big hands and he lifted her to her feet, her groggy feet.
The man frowned, " you are still too weightless for a warrior,"
She looked away bitting back the remark in her mouth, however, her eyes caught something in the distance, a man holding an arrow which he pointed at the man before her, panic rose in her and before she knew, she had covered his body with her, the arrow had pierced her back and came out of her chest where her heart was meant to be.
She glanced down at the same time the man did, pain shot through her as blood erupted from her chest and dripped down her purple armour, rendering her breathless.
" No," the man roared, holding her as he realized she had just gotten shot instead of him.
He held her face as she laid in his arm, going limp, Kiana frowned as a tear drop fell off his cheek, she had no idea why she was willing to die for the man or why he shed tears for her, she shook her head as he lifted her and speed out of the war zone to the forest, her eye lid grew heavier and heavier till she was out of breath.
Dead.
When her eyes opened again, Kiana was in her room, sweating profusely, she glanced around her little room in panic, fearing her nightmare had come true.
It was the same after every full moon, since the day she turned 18, she had been plagued with the same nightmare after every full moon.
Tears dripped down her cheek, it was the so real, she felt every emotions she did in the nightmare, it was too...
" Kian!" Her mother's booming voice snapped her out of her daze, making her realize she had been crying.
Clenching her fist, she cleaned the tears, " crying makes you weak Kiana," she chided, " it's just a stupid dream," she concluded.
" Kian, come down will you!! You will be late for Wolfrine!!!" Her Mother yelled once again.
With that, she was on her feet, grabbing her black trouser and discarding the one she had worn to sleep, she packed her fiery red hair in a tight up bun and worn her old brown cap on it, she didn't need to cover her front today, she slept with it after all.
Once she was set, she hurried downstairs, once she arrived downstairs, her Mother was seated pale yet glowing as usual in her long flowing gown, unlike Kiana, her Mother, Havana had amber hair which made Kiana jealous everytime she helped her comb it.
" Morning Mother," she greeted, kissing her forehead, Her Mother smiled.
" You sound like a Man, though your breath stinks, won't you bath again today? I will prepare the bath for you," Havana said, frowning as she looked at her daughter with pride.
Stepping away from her Mother, she sighed," Wolfrine is today, we both know I am not to clean myself till I return, Besides, you know how hard it is to get water Mother, the new warriors will need it," Her Mother's lips pressed in a thin line.
"It's unethical for a woman to smell horrible,"
" I am not a woman remember? I am a man now,"
Havana softened," I am-"
"Come on Mom, I am greatful for this, you don't have to be sorry, "
" Okay... hurry along then,"
" Bye mother, take care of yourself," Kiana grinned, grabbing her dagger as she hurried to the door, her Mother's clearing of the throat stopped her, groaning, she turned back and kissed her Mother's forehead.
" Bye then,"
Then she was out the door, walking to town in a hurry as she was well aware that the day would be brutal.
"Commander Kian," an old man wheeling a cart greeted her, she saluted him.
" How is it going Crab," Crab laughed.
" The days going pretty well Commander,"
She hadn't walked farther when another man greeted her, " have a nice day," she greeted them all one by one.
That was her everyday routine as her house was at the far end of the pack and the training ground was at the entrance of the pack, which meant that she would met and greet everyone in the pack before she arrives at her destination.
She hated the greeting part since everyone in the pack would ogle at her, both the girls and boys.
as soon as she arrived at the army camp, she went straight to the commanders office, it was the wolfrine event, a special event in the life of an omega which only occurs once a year.
The new omegas of the pack that were of age would be joining the old ones in the army,Kiana had joined five years ago and had gained foot in the army being the second best commander with the privilege to stay anywhere she wanted.
To which she chose her home as to care for her frail healthed mother.
"Commander An," she greeted the moment she walked in, An smiled at her and nodded his head, she walked past him to the other commander who were prepared for the ritual.
"Morning Brick,"
"Kian, nice seeing you this morning, how is Havana doing?"
" Great, she is fine thank you, happy wolfrine," she grinned, winking at her best friend's overuse of formality. His attempt at stoping the rumors going around the army camp.
"It's time," Commander Brick informed, looking at them all with a knowing smirk which had Kian groaning.
With the smirk her annoying best friend shot her, she was well aware that It would be an unfortunate long day.
