3: Unexpected Family.

    Kiana returned to the spot she had met the blue eyed man three days later, which happened to be the night of the full moon, the last three days had been uneventful to her, she asked around town for a place named Rinace or a person named Prick yet she found nothing.

She inhaled a deep breath, ready to ask the blue eyed all the questions she had, the moment he appears and elated to know she had probably met someone from her past.

She paced about, anticipating his arrival, though it was nighttime, that part of the kingdom was brightly lit and crowdy.

People went and go, families smiled with their children as they handed them lanterns, teenage girls laughter filled the street as they walked in groups and gossiped, couples walked by hand in hand, smiling, it was a big contrast to when she had first arrived at Volta. Kiana smiled.

Did she have the same childhood too? Smiling and running around with her father and mother, playing with her friends with no care in the world?

Perhaps she had a man already or even married, afterall, she couldn't be lesser than twenty, many her age had kids already, how did it feel?

Though Deep down, something told her otherwise, she didn't seem like the person to have had such a childhood, a tear drop fell to her hand, only then did she realize she had been crying.

Chuckling, she wiped the tear off her face, " why am I crying? it just a stupid thought," she muttered, then frowned.

Why did she feel like she had said that word multiple times?

Footsteps approached to which Kiana glanced behind her, the masked man she had saw that night ran towards her once again, she still couldn't get used to the speed at which he could run.

This time, she knew better than to stand in his way, as he ran, her gaze stayed fixed on him till his figure disappeared, his pursuits were a group of men who ran almost as fast as him.

Did everyone in the kingdom run that fast? " Weird,"

Kiana returned to her pacing, still anticipating The blue eyed man's return.

Morning came, yet the man was no where to be seen, disappointed and tired, Kiana return to the tavern. Only to be met with an unexpected scene, the Master and Missus of the tavern kneeled outside the tavern some men surrounded them while a man whipped them.

Kiana, had not known the couple for long, however, they were nice to her, so she took it as her business, her mood turn calculative as she watched the scene unfold, as the man raised his whip once again to whip the Missus, Kiana managed to arrive in time to take hold of his hand.

" What are you doing?" She questioned.

" Stay out of this, it's none of your business," The man spat, yanking her hand away, however, Kiana's hold remained firm.

"What could they have done for you to whip them?" Kiana questioned again.

" Let go," The man yelled, trying to get out of Kiana's hold, yet she refused to let go, he raised his hand to hit her, however, Kiana grabbed his hand and twisted it to in an odd angle which made the man let out a pianed cry.

Kiana punched him on the nose, then she threw him over her shoulder. Seeing their leader on the floor in pain, the other men picked up their weapons and attacked her, Kiana managed dodged their attacks at once, then she kicked them.

They were ten men in total against her alone, she crained her neck to the side and crack her fingers, then she lifted her pinky finger and beconed them over.

They all attacked at once once again, Kiana closed her eyes and attacked, she punched and kicked, twisted and bent their arms, Kiana was calculative, always knowing their next move before they even made it.

Soon, they all fell to the floor, defeated and in pain, while some had fainted, yet not even a single scratch was laid on her.

" Scram!" She commanded the men who all stood to their feet in a hurry and scrambled out of the tavern yard.

The tavern owners ran to Kiana, " thank you miss, we will forever be greatful to you, you have just saved our lives," The Missus of the tavern smiled.

Kiana shook her head, " it was nothing, though, if I may ask, why do they bother you?"

The Master of the tavern sighed, " we owed them some money three years ago, which we were unable to pay, the boss demanded we give him our daughter, we couldn't do that so we worked hard and payed back the money, a month later our daughter got married.

" She had found a man who loved her, those men are skilled and they have lots of resources, they bully the weak, when the leader heard of our daughters marriage, he grew angry and returned, demanding we hand over our daughter,"

" We told him we couldn't give my precious Kiana to him as she was married," The Missus of chimed in.

The master sighed, " they troubled us too much we had to tell our daughter and her husband to flee, yet, since then he wouldn't leave us be, he comes every month to demand our daughter be handed over to him,"

" I am sorry, Master, Missus," Kiana whispered.

" Don't be, and my name is Adeline, what is yours sweet girl?" Adeline asked, smiling.

" Kiana, Ma'am,"

Adeline beamed, " you bear the same name with my daughter, oh, God has answered my prayers, he knows I miss my daughter so he sent you to me, "

" I am Frank," Frank added, " you are beautiful Kiana, you remind me so much of my KiKi,"

Kiana blushed, " ah, t-thank you ,"

" Come, " Adeline led her into the tavern, " what about your parents my dear child?" Adeline asked, wondering why she stayed at their tavern alone, she had been looking at her since the day she entered, dressed in a cloth to far away from Volta's.

" I don't know, " Her honest reply shocked the couple.

" What do you mean?" Frank asked.

" I don't know who i am or who my parents are, I woke up days ago in front of a cave, with no memory of who I am or was, all I had was a few words scribbled on the floor telling me my name was Kiana and that I am to find a Prick from Rinace who will tell me who I am, I have been searching for this Prick ever since then,"

" Prick?" Frank frowned.

" that doesn't seem like a name a person would be given, have you found a clue?" Asked Adeline.

Kiana shook her head, Adeline sighed.

" I am sorry dear, from now on, you can see us as a family till you find your real ones, you can call me mother if you want,"

" ADE,"Frank scolded to which Adeline sighed.

" I am sorry for being to froward, you can call me Adeline then,"

Though shocked, Kiana smiled, " I will call you mother if you want, we are both two people missing our loved ones,"

Adeline smiled, " it is settles them, we are now family,"

" We are,"
