there's no real prompt for me wanting to share this, except that i love these artists/bands a lot and i'd love to find more people who also listen to them (or i'll convert you to being a fan mwahaha)

so enjoy?? i guess?? for all we know this is probably a good glimpse into my spotify wrapped... excluding vitamin string quartet because i have a feeling that's 100% dominating everything from 2024 😅 the bridgerton obsession is real.

OLIVIA DEAN
so even if i could, wouldn't go back where we started (the hardest part)

i'm actually furious at myself for not discovering olivia's music sooner, because what a breath of fresh air!! she has this soul and motown vibe to so many of her songs and she pulls it off flawlessly with a stunning voice

five beginner songs: dive, ladies room, the hardest part, reason to stay, carmen

(+ bonus: PLEASE listen to olivia's cover of 'suzanne' in the bbc radio 2 piano room, my soul literally ascended with that performance, and this was actually my introduction to her!)

WASIA PROJECT
i feel like everybody's singing out of tune (petals on the moon)

you might recognise 1/2 of this duo as william gao from heartstopper. i discovered this brother-sister duo through will and i love them more with each song they put out! they kind of feel like a pop/indie/jazz fusion to me? they have the most beautiful ballads, especially 'takes me back home' and 'remember when' but then they also have really groovy songs like 'petals on the moon' which is dangerously catchy. i'm really excited to see more from them and olivia's voice (another olivia hehe) is so smooth and captivating.
