Adler had just woken up from his couch after Unicorn forced him to get off the bench. He looked around and saw that Unicorn was absent from the room. He checked the time and saw it was 8:27 AM, 33 minutes before the time Unicorn gave him to meet her at the main gate of the port. Knowing this, he decided to get ready and dress up for the occasion. In his mind, dressing up for the occasion was wearing his full Commander’s uniform, adorned with some engravings and his commander’s hat. He grabbed a pistol from a drawer and placed it in his holster, the pistol in question being a Luger. He checked his pocket watch and it showed 8:47, 13 minutes until the specified meeting time. He rushed downstairs as he headed to the port’s main entrance gate. It took a while to get there, but when he did, his watch showed 8:54, 6 minutes before the meeting time. He could see Unicorn waiting near the gate, so he approached her. Unicorn was wearing a dress similar to the one she wore when she was still with Azur Lane, but what set the dress she was currently wearing apart was that it was mostly black with some red accents and silver undertones.

Adler: “I’m here now, Unicorn”
Unicorn: “Took you long enough, Adelheid”
Adler: “What? I wasn’t late”
Unicorn: “I know, but I’ve been waiting for several minutes. You shouldn’t keep a girl waiting”
Adler: “Alright, alright…”
Unicorn: “So, shall we go now?”
Adler: “Yes, we should”

Adler and Unicorn both walked past the main entrance, and into the city of Hamburg. The streets were filled with people and propaganda posters. Several dozens of people did notice the both of them, but paid no mind after seeing the rank insignia that adorned his uniform.

A/N: (Knowing the nature of the AL universe as a whole, they probably don't question stuff like this)

Adler and Unicorn had conversations as they walked around the city, passing through parks and residential infrastructure. They had a final destination though, and that was the Stadtpark. It was quite the distance, so they had more and more conversations on their way there.

A/N: (Operation Gomorrah hadn't occurred, so the park isn't in a bad condition)

Unicorn: “So Adelheid, how did you end up in Iron Blood despite being a Siren?”
Adler: “I was found unconscious by Bismarck and her sister, my memories of what happened that lead to getting found by those two is… messy”
Unicorn: “So you don't remember anything?”
Adler: “No, only the fact that I was in a battle, but I neither know who I fought”
Unicorn: “Hmm… That is quite a mystery… There's one other thing I wanted you ask though”
               Adler: “What is it?”
Unicorn: “Why did you choose to become Friedrich’s little brother?”
Adler: “Regarding that, let's just say… I have some history with her from when I was still part of the Siren task force. I don't believe she still remembers what happened though”
Unicorn: “If I may ask, is that history good or bad?”
Adler: “It's more on the side of good, but I don't think I can indulge further about it”
Unicorn: “Huh, alright then”

After they had their conversations, they had reached Hamburg Stadtpark. They both sat down on a small grass mound below some trees that gave a nice shade.

Unicorn: “Adelheid, there's actually something else I want to ask about…’
Adler: “What do you want to ask?”
Unicorn: “Several days ago, after we left from Azur Lane, you had told me about your sister…”
Adler: “Ah yes, I did believe I told you that I would be explaining further about it”
Unicorn: “Yes, you did that night…”
Adler: “Alright, I'll tell you about it now then…”
