How am I going to prove to Erykah that I am sincere this time if Saber keeps following me?

Umalis ako roon dahil sa mga magulang ko at kay Saber. I want to get away from them and hide. I only want to Erykah with me and spend time with her.

I'm a stranger to this feeling, but I like it... I am happy every time I am with her. I feel contented and can start my day productively with her. I'm at my best every time I see her around me.

I took the ring out of my pocket and put it on my finger. I don't want Erykah to doubt my sincerity. I truly want her as my wife and not just as a cover.

"Ano ba ang meron kay Erykah na wala sa akin? I am better than her, Glenn. Our families are tied for decades in business. I know I've made a mistake in the past, and I regret it, Glenn. I want you back...give me a chance." She said, begging in the way she looked at me in the eyes.

I know Saber is sincere, but I could no longer feel the same way I had with her for years. I no longer longed for her. I only pretended for my family's sake.

Erykah came as my excuse, and there's no remorse for that, but it was a blessing in disguise. . . I like her more and more each day, and now, I couldn't think of anything else.

"I'm a married man now, Saber. You have to accept that," I gritted my teeth.

I was once in her shoes when I asked for a second chance with her, but she never gave me that chance... she simply walked away instead of embracing me in my darkness.

"Pero hindi naman kayo kasal dito, Glenn," her voice weakened, and her tears started to flow.

"Saber... I can't go back to you. I have a new path, and in that path, I want Erykah and nothing else."

She scoffed and laughed a little bit. "It's my fault. . . Hindi ko alam na ganito pala kasakit iyon... I'm sorry, Glenn. But I will not walk away from you. I know I pushed you away from me that time, but I waited for you to come back. But you never came." Pumatak na ang luha niya.

I dipped my head halfway and shook my head. There was no point in talking to her. She would never understand me.

"Let's concentrate on the business, Saber. I want it done," I said firmly. "This is the least that I could do as a contribution to the El Monteverde. I have nothing against you, Saber, and I hope you understand that."

"Talaga lang ah." May halong pagbabanta sa boses niya.

I gazed back at her without any fear. "If you want to withdraw all your investment from the business, then please do so... My business can survive without yours," I said and walked away.

I went back to the study room and finish my remaining work. May iilang pending ako, pero lahat ay nasa ibang division sa firm, at sila muna pansamantala ang bahala roon.

I asked Manong Max, as he was here now, to help Erykah with what she was doing in the garden. I didn't assign her any work because I wanted her to enjoy everything while she was here.

After finishing the firms work, I diverted to the business transactions of Saber's and mine.
Sampung taon na rin noong sinimulan namin ni Saber ang negosyong ito. Lumalago na ito at nahahakot na namin ang iilang malalaking investor. It's a sister company of M&M Corporation. Ito ang negosyo ng ama ko at ng ama ni Saber. Kami ni Saber noon ang nagbukas ng branch sa Cebu at lumalago na ito ngayon.
