Escapee (back in the lab pt 2)|| 018

It had officially been one day in the lab. The men searched far and wide for El but they couldn't find her. Will sat in the rainbow room and watched kids play. Some with blocks and others with cars, using their telekinetic powers to move the cars. Suddenly an announcement blared from the speakers in the rainbow room.
"All kids must go to room 8A6 immediately"
Will and the other kids all went to the room and lined up in a line. They were given a white cloth to tie around their heads to cover their vision. This was a training test, to see who was the strongest and who the weakest was.

After many rounds of kids it finally came to Will and this other boy. They stood in front of each other. Will attempted to use his power but failed, not knowing where he was. The boy on the other hand was winning. The boy lifted his head up which caused Wills feet, that now had socks on them, to slide backwards. Will stood up straight. Dr Brenner walked up to Will and whispered in his ear. "They think you're weak. Show them, 012, show them that you're not weak." He whispered before backing away. It's been awhile since someone called him '012' and it triggered all the memories to come back.

Having his childhood taken away, getting taken away from his family and friends, not knowing anything because he refused to teach them. Will remembered all the horrible times where he'd be used until his weakest. Will lifted up his hand and screamed. The boy he was versing flew back into the wall. Will took off the cloth and immediately looked at the monster who caused this. Will had to escape. During night, Will wandered the halls looking for the lift. He ran towards it but soon realised that it was shut down. Then he heard footsteps and saw light shine from a flash light. Will ran until he random found a small stair case that led to what appeared to be a vent. "Maybe I could escape through here.." Will muttered under his breath. Dr Brenner had put microchips in the lab kids wrists so they could stop the kids from using their powers at night and to track their location if they managed to escape. Will knew he had to remove it so he wandered around the room in hopes to find something sharp to remove it from his wrist. Then, he discovered a tool box. He opened it and found what looked to be a pocket knife.

He slowly cut the skin, wincing in pain with each second of the cut. Blood seeped out of his open found and there he saw the microchip. He threw it across the room and used his powers to take out the nails. Now, this was his chance to escape. Will felt overwhelmed by the tight space, reminding him when he was locked in that metal cage whenever he was in trouble. Will finally slipped out of the vent and found himself in a forest. Will was still in the gown and had a shaved head. He ran around until he finally made his way to a familiar house. Mikes house. Will knew he couldn't just knock on the door or else his parents might see. He ran to a quiet place and grabbed the clothes from his gowns pocket. He wrapped it around his head and appeared in the void. He walked over to Mike who was lying in his bed looking upset. "Mike.." The brunette said in a quiet voice. The raven-haired boy looked up with glassy eyes and he smiled widely. "Will!" Mike walked over. "Open the front door for me." Will said. Mike nodded. That's when Will took off the cloth and left it in the bush. Mike ran to the front door and opened it but sighing when he sees no one. He was convinced it was all in his head until Will ran over with the labs gown on and a shaved head. He immediately brought Will inside and into his bedroom.

"Your hair?!" Mike said. Will hugged Mike, he was close to tears. He pulled away slightly and kissed Wills forehead. "I'll get you some clothes and call your mum." Mike said in a calmer voice. Will smiled softly. Mike rummaged the draws and gave him clothes. Then, he ran downstairs and dialled Joyce's number.

"Hello, this is the Byers residence!" Joyce said in a joyful and welcoming tone.
"Hey, Joyce. It's Mike. I found Will."
"You found him?! I'm coming over immediately!" She said, her protective mum instincts kicking in. Will walked down the stairs. He was wearing Mikes old clothes which was dark brown jeans with a yellow and blue t-shirt striped upwards. "Your mums going to get you." Mike said with a smile as he put the phone back on the landline. Will hugged Mike. "Will you still love me with no hair..?" He asked. "I'll always love you, even with no hair." He smiled gently and they rested their foreheads on each others for a couple minutes.
