ELENA
I wake up feeling a mix of anticipation and impatience. Six more days until Zade comes back. It feels like an eternity, especially after our video call last night. I can't stop thinking about him, his voice, his presence... everything about him makes me feel alive.
I stretch out in bed, the morning sunlight streaming through the curtains, and decide to get up and start the day. I make myself a cup of coffee and settle at the kitchen table, scrolling through my phone. There are a few messages from Olivia, probably still laughing about our "Imagine" game, and a couple from Claire, asking how I am and reminding me of a family dinner we're having soon.
As I sip my coffee, my thoughts drift to the Sanchez Layer. Visiting there was surreal, a mix of nostalgia and curiosity. I can't wait to tell Zade more about it when he gets back. Maybe we can explore it together. It feels like there's so much history in that place, so many untold stories.
After finishing my coffee, I decide to get some work done. With the fashion line launching soon, there's a lot to prepare. I spend the next few hours going over designs, coordinating with suppliers, and planning out the marketing strategy. It's exciting but also a little nerve-wracking. I want everything to be perfect.
By midday, I've made good progress and decide to take a break. I head out for a walk, enjoying the fresh air and the bustling energy of the city. It's a beautiful day, and being outside helps clear my head. As I stroll, I think about how much my life has changed since moving to Chicago. It's been a whirlwind, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Especially not now, with Zade in my life.
I find myself at a little café and decide to grab lunch. As I sit there, eating my sandwich and watching people go by, I can't help but smile. In six days, Zade will be back. Until then, I'll keep myself busy, counting down the moments until we're together again.
As I finish my sandwich, my phone buzzes with a new message. It's from Summer. Seeing her name brings a warm smile to my face; we've been through so much together.
I read her message twice, thinking about how much I miss her and our carefree days in Greece. Then, it hits me—Andrew mentioned needing an assistant for his growing business. It could be a perfect opportunity for Summer.
