It seemed to be the longest thirty minutes of Jaymes' life this morning. She didn't get much sleep last night because of the party last night, what sleep she did get was uncomfortable, and in the morning, it took her nearly forever to find the shirt she wanted to wear. The next step was to mentally prepare herself for the day. They were going to be going for another tornado, and she couldn't freeze like last time. She was here to help Javi, not make his life harder.

She ran a hand of cold water along her neck to calm herself and headed out the door to a nearby cafe where she knew Javi would be at.

She stopped beside the booth that sat Javi, Scott, and someone she had never seen before.

"Do you wanna hangout?" She asked while Javi looked at her.

"Jaymes, this is Marshall Riggs, we've been working together. He's one of the Storm Par investors I told you about." Javi said, introducing the man to her.

Marshall looked at her and smiled, "How scary was that tornado yesterday?"

She put a small smile on her face, trying to be polite, "Not at all."

"Hm," Scott grunted, looking at her while Javi shot him a 'shut the fuck up' look.

"Hey, Jaymes, can you give us a minute? Maybe grab something to eat, then we'll head out?"

Jaymes nodded at Javi's command, walking away without a word.

Tyler was just getting done with eating his breakfast at the same cafe when he saw Jaymes walk out and stand in the back gravel area by herself. He threw his scraps away and walked out the door, each step being one closer to the truth he was eventually going to reveal.

"Nothing's coming out of that one."

Jaymes shook her head at the ridiculous idea, "That one? No, it's clearly waiting in a stable environment."

"Yeah, no blow level cap, no shear to keep it interesting." Tyler mused walking forward.

"Yeah it's gonna die out." Jaymes agreed walking up to stand beside him.

"Not enough moisture to grow." Tyler concluded.

He looked at her as she watched the sky, thinking about her response to the question that had been eating him up since the night before. "Where'd you say you learned to track storms at?"

"I didn't," she said simply, looking at him with an unreadable expression.

Tyler became a little frustrated at the news, but that wasn't going to stop him. "Look, we're gonna be stuck here all day, waiting for nothing to happen. How about we try to get along?"

"Yeah..." Jaymes trailed off, "you're right, y'know what, I'll get us a couple of drinks. What would you like?"

He was surprised at her gesture, but was pretty sure he knew what she was doing. "Really?" Jaymes nodded, she really was trying to sell him. "Wouldn't mind an iced tea, thank you."
