When it hit 10 o'clock, Jaymes sighed, disappointed that the night was coming to an end.Tyler was laying down on the left side of the bed, while she sat criss-crossed on the right side. After they got done with the pizza, they played 20 questions, which turned more into 100 questions.
Jaymes turned to Tyler and smiled, "I had a lot of fun tonight. Thank you, I don't have a lot of those anymore."
He frowned at the news, he was having fun and he definitely didn't want it to end, that's when a brilliant idea came to his head.
"Who said it has to end?"
Jaymes' smile slightly dropped as she looked down, "Tyler..."
Before she could say anything else, he spoke up, getting a sudden rush of confidence. "Come to the rodeo with me, tonight."
Jaymes shook her head as she looked at the clock. "Tyler, it's late. We both have to work in the morning."
His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at her again, "Screw work. C'mon Jaymes, when's the last time you actually had fun?"
He got her there, and he knew it. He was right though, ever since she moved to New York, she buried herself in her work, all day, every day. Maybe it was time for her to have a little fun.
She looked back up at him and a small smile appeared on her lips. "Okay,"
Tyler smiled the biggest smile she had seen since she had been here and jumped off of the bed. Once they got to the door and got their shoes on, Tyler grabbed her hand and ran out the door, Jaymes and him laughing on the way out to his truck.
Boone and Lily stuck their heads out of their respective rooms when they heard the laughter.
"Wow, it looks like boss is in love." Boone said with a hint of surprise in his voice.
"He's happy," Lily replied, "they both are."

When they got there, the stands were almost completely filled. But, somehow, Tyler managed to get them great seats in the middle about two rows up.
They watched the National Anthem, the Grand Entry, and just got done watching Team Roping.
Even though the two had just spent two hours talking and learning about each other, Tyler still didn't know where she was from or what her childhood was like.
He leaned in close to her so she could hear him better, "You ever seen anything like this, city girl?"
She nodded her head a bit and looked at him, "Y'know, you keep calling me that, but I grew up on a farm."
He looked surprised at the news.
"Yeah, it's just a couple hours from here. Trust me Tyler, this ain't my first rodeo." She thought back to all the times she would come out to trick ride for the crowd, which they loved. She competed in some events, but the tricks were her favorite part.
"I think it's a miracle, I learned something personal about you and I didn't even have to bribe you with a pizza."
She laughed at his bad joke as he smiled, her laugh was like the angels singing to him. It was like a drug too, something he couldn't get enough of.
Her and the crowd's attention turned back to the bull rider in the arena, who ended up riding for all eight seconds. But while she looked forward and cheered, Tyler looked at her and stared. He couldn't get enough of her.
"So tell me, when was your first tornado?"
She hesitated for a second, thinking back to the horrible experience when she shook her head, "Tell me yours."
"I was eight driving with my aunt. Sirens are going, all of a sudden, this vortex just lowers down in the center of the road. I was just mesmerized, when I looked at my aunt and saw this look on her face I realized in that moment that I was supposed to be scared."
She listened intently, wanting to know about every little detail, "Were you scared?"
He nodded, "Yeah, I was."
"Ah, the Tornado Wrangler is scared of tornadoes."
He looked back out to the arena, "I got over it."
Jaymes watched as the bull rider did Tyler's symbol while Tyler did the same back. "You know him?
Tyler hesitated, "I used to compete, just got stomped on by one too many bulls, thought chasing would be easier on my brain."
"So, let me get this straight, you're scared of tornadoes but not of riding bulls?"
"Tornadoes, bulls same thing. Fear is the reason you do it you don't face your fears you ride 'em."
Tyler leaned towards her ear. "Why don't we take a break? Stretch our legs a little bit?"
Jaymes nodded as Tyler took her hand again and let her away from the grand stands.
They ended up in the back of the property on a patch of grass, standing up while looking at the stars.
He looked down from the sky and at her, her long, dark brown hair, coffee colored eyes he felt like he could drown in, and the scar on her left forearm, everything about her was perfect.
"Jaymes," she turned to look at him as he chuckled nervously, "Usually I'm not bad at these things, um-"
He was cut off by a pair of warm lips against his. He kissed her back instantly and as soon as he was going to put his hands on her waist, she unexpectedly pulled away.
"I'm so sorry, that shouldn't have happened, I shouldn't have kissed you I'm so sorry." She rambled as she started to walk away, but Tyler's hand caught her wrist pulling her back to him.
"Just....wait." He said calmly, slowly leaning in as she started to do the same.
Her hands locked around his neck and his found their way to her waist they met in the middle. Their lips connected and fit around one another like they were meant to be as they pulled away from each other. Their breaths mixed as the rest of their foreheads together. Jaymes giggled, which caused Tyler to smile as a small laughter came from him.
"That was nice." Jaymes said, her face starting to hurt from how much she had been smiling.
"Yeah, that was really nice." Tyler said he smiled too.
But blissful moment was cut short when a blast of wind came out of nowhere. Almost knocking Jaymes off of her feet, if it wasn't for Tyler who was hanging on to her.
They both looked up with the sky and then it clicked. Tornado.
