"The Tornado Wrangler, what an intimidating name."
"I thought so too."

Saturday rolled around bright and early for Tyler, Jaymes, the horses, and the puppies.
The rodeo performance started at three, so the pair woke up at six, being greeted by a few of the rodeo officials on the way to the stables.
The pair took their time walking all three horses to the trailer.
They made small talk as they brushed all of them off with various brushes. Trading brushes with whoever needed them consistently.
Once she was satisfied with how Tex was looking (he would be the one she rode for breakaway, which was going to be before poles), Jaymes walked into the small tackroom and heated up two breakfast sandwiches in the small mircowave that sat on a small wooden table.
Two minutes later, the sandwiches were ready, and Jaymes stepped out to sit on the step leading to the tack room. She glanced over and noticed Tyler's braiding all the horses' manes with teal rubber bands.
She smiled and continued to eat her breakfast. Soon, Tyler was done and sat down beside her to enjoy his meal.

A couple of hours later, it was 2 o'clock. There was just one hour until the rodeo would start.
Jaymes was dusting any new dirt that had accumulated on his coat one last time before Tyler handed her Tex's saddle pad. It had to be fitted to him because he had broader shoulders that no matter what Jaymes put on, she couldn't find something that fit him comfortably.
He handed her her roping saddle next. She set it on his back easily, then tightened her cinches, put on his breastcollar, and untied him to lunge him in a small circle around their trailer.
As usual, he was good, and she checked her cinches one last time before putting on his bridle, which Tyler had once more handed her.
Coming back to the trailer, Tyler held onto Tex as she changed in the tack room.
She put on a better pair of Wranglers, her belt, boots, and a teal button to that matched her tack set on Tex and his rubber bands in his mane.
She already had her rodeo number, 216 on the back of her shirt as she put her hair in a loose braid and put her hat on.
When she stepped out, Tyler couldn't help but stare, which she picked up on.
She twirled around in a circle and smiled. "Do I look decent?"
He smirked, "If decent is the new amazing, then yes, you look decent."
