Chapter 26: Is Anybody Going to Arcanletia?

"Would it kill you to let me sleep in?! Every morning it's something!"

"Well this morning it's your own fault since you drank all my bubbly last night!"

"I wouldn't touch that piss-water you like so much! At least get the nice stuff if you're going to get plastered!"

"That was my most expensive bottle! And I know you drank it!"

"That's not what it was at all! You got drunk and started going on and on about how 'good of a job' you did making YN's new body after they left! It's probably because you got so drunk you don't remember drinking at all!"

"That's because I did do a good job and no one even gave me so much as a 'thank you!' You're all so mean I have to drink away my sorrows!"

"Must we argue so early?!"

In the cold hallway of their mansion, a certain brown-haired boy and an Arch-Priestess argued at a time when the sun had only just begun to rise. It was to this shouting that another resident of the mansion had been awoken by it, and was now versing her frustration.

Standing in her own doorway, down the hall from the two who were shouting, before either could answer, another door to the opposite end of the hall opened too.

"Why is everyone yelling already?"

Rubbing the tiredness from her crimson eyes, she stepped out into the hallway too now.

With everyone away, certainly a day like today, the first in a series they had all agreed would be for rest, was already off to a terrible start.

"Good! Everyone's awake! Nice going Kazuma!"

"Oi! Don't you dare try and pin this on me! You're the one who came pounding on my door and started to—!"

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

With this sound echoing out through the mansion, Kazuma pointed down the hall in its direction as he went on.

"—Just like that! You banged on my door and started yelling about—!"

"—Kazuma Kazuma."

"Huh?"

Having closed the distance like that, it was now Megumin who vied for his attention, cutting him off and tugging at his shirt.

Simply pointing down the hallway herself with hair still a mess from sleeping, it was Darkness who now spoke up to build off Megumin's new concern.

"Kazuma, that was actual knocking. At our front door."

Getting the likes of both him and Aqua to turn their attention to this now, with curiosity, the two dropped their arguments now, and went to go see who this early morning visitor was.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

In the main foyer area now, Aqua shouted in reply to whoever this was.

"—We're coming, hold on! You woke us up!"

As she went to open the large set of double doors, Kazuma barked back at her.

"You woke us all up, not whoever this—!"

About to have their old fight be rekindled, his words were cut short by who was revealed to be at their front porch.

"*Huff* *Puff*"

Hands on his knees, hunched over, the blue hair of this person, which perfectly matched Aqua's own, was their former guest from last night.
