"Y-YN... A-Are you s-sure you aren't m-mad at all?"
In their usual seating arrangement in the Guild Hall, it was their first day back here after being away for a day or two. While there had been signs that others had been using their seats in their absence, that was to be expected with how crowded the Hall had been the night before.
Practically the entire Adventurer population had come together in staunch opposition to a local member of the Nobility that had, through rather dubious and dastardly means, forced Kazuma's Party member, Darkness, into a royal wedding.
There had been a grand scheme played by Kazuma in what probably had to be the greatest example of crashing a wedding that there ever was, and to YN's utter surprise, Yunyun had been pressured into playing a rather large, and rather incriminating part of it.
I still can't believe Megumin coerced Yunyun into literally blowing the doors off the place...
In some exploit of the poor girl's pushover mentality when it came to the idea of 'friendship,' this had been preyed upon by her childhood rival in an effort to advance the plot she had cooked up independently of Kazuma's plan to crash the wedding and save Darkness from being married off to some rotund royal.
YN had been part of the crowd of the Adventurers, standing behind the well guarded, iron-bar facade of the perimeter fence that surrounded the basilica where the wedding was ongoing, when suddenly the entire front of the building had been reduced to smithereens.
That was, not before he had heard the spell and voice of a girl he knew very well.
"Light of Sabre!"
Yunyun, solely responsible for creating a pile of ruble whilst the wedding was in the middle of being crashed already, had been the lynch pin for the ensuring riot between the Adventurer population of Axel, and local noble that was that day's groom-to-be.
I guess that's what I get for letting Yunyun out of my sight when Megumin is involved with her... That usually spells trouble no matter how you look at it.
To the crimson eyed girl's question though, asked with a timid voice, YN now shook his head.
"No, I'm not mad. I could never be upset with you. Besides, Megumin got you involved in that mess. She has a tendency to make you the scapegoat."
The question had been boiling in the twin-tailed girl's mind for a while now, so to finally ask it and receive an answer that wasn't as harsh as she hoped, was a great relief to her.
"A-Are y-you sure? I did cause us a lot of trouble..."
"I'm sure. You were just trying to help out someone you've known your entire life practically. I'd be wrong to fault you for your good intentions."
Hearing a second reassurance, Yunyun held a hand to her chest as she closed her eyes.
"T-Thank you for that..."
"Just, please try to not get roped up into that kind of a mess again. I'm not sure what kind of bet, or blackmail, or threat Megumin used to convince you, but you gotta remember the consequences of your actions... Especially if it's the wedding of the local nobility."
"I-I'm aware! I just thought... Ya know... It was worse to imagine what that creepy guy would have done to Darkness-san if I hadn't done anything..."
"That's true. But, you really should have checked with Kazuma first if there was a plan that didn't involve potentially incriminating yourself as an insurrectionist. —Especially if it's Megumin trying to get your involvement."
