"Time?!"

"8 minutes!"

"Ten bucks says one of us dies before we get there."

"Aiden, if you don't shut the fu–"

"Aiden, please don't anger Tyler until we wake up."

"Whatever you say Princess!"

"The graveyard!"

They ran faster coming into sight of their safe haven. Just a few more yards...

They rushed in, Ashlyn stopping next to the button. The phantom was getting closer, its everlasting grin trying to swallow them whole.

"Close the gate, close the gate!"

Ashlyn slammed her hand on the button as soon as they were all inside and the doors slowly swung closed. The phantom kept getting closer and if they waited one more second it would've gotten in.

Once it was shut out the group let out a sigh of relief.

"All right, let's head to the bus," Ashlyn, their leader, said.

Once they were inside they all collapsed onto the seats.

"Ugh, that sucked."

"Is it too late to kill myself?"

"BONNIE!"

"WHAT, I WAS JUST ASKING?!"

"Ah. The banging stopped."

"It probably gave up or someth..."

Tyler trailed off as they saw a phantom, the one that had nearly gotten in no doubt, crept into the bus. They just stared in shock for a moment-

"How?!"

-before standing and slowly backing up.

"Can we open the back door?"

"It's blocked!"

"W-what do we do?"

"Die?"

"Aiden!"

"No no, not a bad idea."

"Bonnie!"

The phantom lunged at them making them all scream but then a beeping went off and they were safe.

Bonita woke up sweating and looked around her room. No phantoms, at least no dangerous ones.

"So close. Tomorrow's gonna be a hellscape."

She picked up her phone fiddling with the headphone jack charm as she checked the groupchat.

"...huh?!" They looked at their backpack and rummaged through it, pulling out their folder and seeing the worksheet they had yet to do. "This is my thirteenth reason."
