"Wait!" Charlie held his hands up. "I was just tagging along for fun, I'm not actually with–"

Before he could finish, the woman started shooting.

"HELP!!!"

"I didn't ask and I don't really care." She held the gun casually as if she was bored. "I'm just trying to decide if I should kill you both, or let Maverick use you for the infected. So shut up while I–"

Three gunshots cut her off, each bullet hitting her. The adults looked over to see Logan holding his gun still in position and the others looking ready to kill.

He hesitated to shoot again and she began to take her gun out. That's when she felt someone jump on her back and felt claws at her neck.

She looked up to see Bonita smiling. She was ready to kill her and she was smiling.

"You pulled us there." They pulled her hair. "You're the reason we're here." They sliced her arm and put pressure on the bullet wound. "You're the reason I'm like this."

"And what are you going to do? You can beat that other kid but you think you can beat me? Fat fucking chance."

"I think... it's time I eat." Bonita looked back at the others and her eyes looked normal again. "Go, I'll take care of her."

"No, you're coming!"

She tilted her head and kicked the gun out of the woman's hand. Logan picked that one up too. "What did I just say?"

"You sick bitch."

"Takes one to know one. Now, you guys should leave before it gets messy. I know the way."

"But–"

Aiden grabbed Ashlyn's arm. "C'mon, let's go."

"Aiden, she's–"

"I trust her."

"But–"

"I know her." He smiled. "She's not gonna do anything other than kill her. She'll meet us there."

They made it to the elevator and looked back. Bonnie still wasn't with them...

"She'll come." Taylor nodded.

Back with Bonita, she looked down at the bloodied mess that the woman used to be and she wiped some off her mouth. She stood and cracked her neck. Her eyes had returned to normal and her fangs seemed smaller.

"Not a bad last meal," they hummed. They set off down the hall. "They blew it up from the corner hoping to burn the place to the ground. That's not the way to do it..."

"New York?"

"Yeah," Ashlyn's mom said. "That's where the facility's main location is, according to their documents. But, the communication between their headquarters and this place is full of contradictions and false reports."

"Ooh scandal." Bonita smiled.

"What does that mean?" Lily asked as her mom braided her hair.

"It's when someone does something they shouldn't and people find out. Like–"

"Bonnie." Ben looked at her.

"Uhh you were saying?"

"Good."

"Shut up."

"You shut up."

"The higher-ups here have been trying to create an army with the infected, using them as weapons and selling the idea to the government. But they've been sending reports out that they've been making progress on reversing the effects of the infected instead. Which means, they've gone off script from the original plan of helping the coma patients and that the parent organization in New York is unaware of this. ...they could potentially be the good guys and your only possible allies in taking this place down.

"So when you kids get out, start heading to that location."

"Can we go to Rhode Island too?" Aiden grinned.

They all stared at him.

Tyler was the first to speak, "Why Rhode Island?"

"Bonnie has a friend that lives there!"

"You remember that?" She looked at him surprised.

"Of course! You said it was important."

"I heavily doubt that."

"Well, anything you tell me is important to me."

She kissed his cheek and his grin turned sappy. Lily fake gagged.

"Gross!"

"Right," Tyler said.

"Anything you tell me is important."
