As soon as they stepped into the house a shiver went through her body.

Yep, definitely haunted.

"What's wrong? You scared?"

"No... Guys, I think we should just head back. Like I said, it takes around twenty minutes to get back to the bus."

"Aww don't tell me you're afraid of ghosts?"

I live with spirits, being afraid jumped out the window years ago.

"No, but–"

"Then c'mon!"

Aiden grabbed her hand again and started pulling her with him into the house.

I guess we're dying today.

"Welcome to the Sorrel Weed house!"

She was so tempted to ask, "where the weed at?" but she didn't.

"So, this is the foyer. Most everything in the house is original with the exception of the furniture and the paint on the wall. This is the Francis Sorrel library and the man you see in this portrait is Robert E. Lee. Lee was a dear friend of Francis who visited the Sorrel house quite often."

Bonita got the feeling the portrait's eyes were moving and cringed. She couldn't wait to get out of the house.

"In the winter of 61-62, just before the great war, General Lee used this room as his office. As far as spooky activity goes, this room seems the most calm." THE MOST?? "Not to say that there isn't any ghostly activity in here, but out of the entire house, I'd say it's milder–"

The tour guide was cut off by a loud ringing sound.

"Ah... I'm so sorry, this is my emergency phone. I have to get this. I'll be right back. Continue looking around but don't touch anything."

"Well that's super professional," Tyler remarked.

"I-I don't think that's professional..."

"I was being sarcastic."

"...oh."

"Eh an emergency is an emergency." Taylor shrugged. "It'll be more fun to explore on our own anyway!"

As they looked through the house Aiden pretty much dragged Bonita along with them as she continuously tried to escape.

Maybe I can jump out one of the windows.

"Don't worry about the ghosts Bonnie."

"Bonnie?" she repeated. He had called her that earlier too but she was too tired to comment on it. "Whatever. I'm not afraid of the ghosts, there's just something... off about the house."

"Why is she wearing earplugs?"

"Ah! I thought they were wireless earbuds?!"

Ashlyn winced and Bonita covered his mouth.

"Hm?"

"They're earplugs. I wear them because of my sensitivity to sounds."

"Oops, my bad," Aiden said after Bonita finally took her hand away. "I thought they were for music."

Bonita sighed and looked at Ashlyn freezing as they saw a figure near her. The rest of the group continued but them and Ashlyn stayed rooted in their spots.

Ashlyn gave her a look that basically said, "You can see them too?"

She nodded, taking a shaky breath.

It was much different than the ones in her house with its broad grin looking like it was ready to swallow them whole.

"Oh, that room looks cool!" Taylor said, pointing to a room across the hall. She stopped when she looked back and saw the other two still standing there. "You two alright? You look pale."
