Schooling...but for how long?

Wednesday morning saw the trio of boys standing nervously at the doors to their new school.  They were all starting third grade together in a shared, mixed gender classroom.  Izuku hugged Bunbun close with one arm and clung to the back of Katsuki's jacket with his other.   The only reason he wasn't clinging to his brother was the fact that Katsuki had a subtle hold on the back of Hitoshi's jacket.

"Now the front office has our direct cellphone numbers," Yamada said as he crouched in front of the boys.   "You can call any one of us if it gets to be too much."

Hitoshi nodded.   "Don't worry.   I'll keep them safe."

Yamada smiled at him.   "And remember, Izuku is allowed to be seated near one of you the entire day and can keep Bunbun with him as well.   The school nurse has a quiet room if you need to take a break.   Any questions?"

"No, papa," Izuku whispered.   "Stay safe."

Yamada kissed his forehead, ruffled Katsuki's hear and gave Hitoshi a hug before walking them in.   The trio were introduced to the school nurse and then to their teacher who was a bright eyed young woman.  She cooed at them and welcomed them into the room.  Yamada left his boys, hopeful that they might get to start having a normal childhood.

It was Friday when Nemuri voiced concerns to her fellow packmates at breakfast.  The boys were snoozing on the cot in the teacher's lounge before school.   There was going to be a staff meeting so Hawks had agreed to pick the boys up to take them to school since the other parents had to be at the meeting.

"Something isn't right with Katsuki," Nemuri said softly.

Aizawa frowned as he sipped at his coffee.   "I feel the same about our two...but it could be because its a new environment."

Yamada chewed on the protein bar his mate insisted on to offset the three donuts he'd already eaten.   He eyed the protein bar in front of Aizawa and glanced at his mate in warning.   He only joined in once Aizawa grunted and started eating.

"Izuku's been a bit more quiet and Hitoshi a lot more protective," Yamada agreed.   "But I'm with Shou.   I think it's just being away from the main pack and in a new place.  Let's give it a few more days, hmmm?   Starting at a new school is never easy for anyone."

Nemuri sighed and nodded, smiling as Hawks strolled in.  "Hey, birdman."

"What's up!" Hawks grinned.   "Where are my little eaglets?   We've got school to get to."

"Napping in the office there.   Go wake them up.   Their bags are ready to go by the door," Aizawa answered.

The trio of adults watched Hawks retrieve their kids.   Yamada was uneasy about how Izuku looked scared about leaving, but he had to keep with his agreement of giving it a few more days.   The other two boys kept close to the smaller omega, but not one of them expressed anything about disliking school.

"It'll be fine," Aizawa reassured, though even his voice sounded uncertain.

It was just past lunch when Aizawa's phone rang.   He glanced and saw it was the school's number and frowned.

"Aizawa," he answered.   "My kids okay?"

"Dad?" Hitoshi's voice was small and quiet.

"Toshi?  Kiddo, what's wrong?   Why are you calling?" Aizawa asked, straightening at his desk.   He felt Nemuri and Yamada's eyes lock on him from their desks.   The trio had just finished lunch and were working on lesson plans in the main teacher workroom.
