Aizawa and Yamada spent the rest of the weekend helping the boys choose a bed to share and finish setting up their room. By Sunday night a queen size bed was in the bedroom with a fresh Alpha/Omega mixed nest that was embellished with the various pillows, blankets, and stuffies that their pack had gifted them. The dresser was split between the two boys and now filled with clothes that would actually fit.
There were new shoes by the front door and extra child sized slippers when they didn't want to run around in just socks or bare feet. Two training bikes were now in the garage as well as a few other outdoor toys, though neither boy felt safe enough to go out on their own.
The fridge was now stocked with child friendly snacks and sweets. Izuku seemed to love gummy candies while Hitoshi shared Aizawa's affinity for the little jelly packets. Both loved juice boxes and the flavored waters that Yamada enjoyed. The boys had also taken over cat feeding duties for the couple of cats that Aizawa and Yamada had - Mochi and Kimichi.
Outside the home, a quiet investigation was conducted on the Bakugo family. Emi and Nemuri were fully prepared for the kid once they were alerted that evidence of abuse had been spotted and reported by the kid's school.
By Monday, Aizawa and Yamada were looking forward to the update on their sons' friend. Aizawa smiled as he watched Yamada help Izuku try and tame his hair slightly. Hitoshi was eating cereal at the table, watching the attempt to contain the chaos and smiling at each failure. Izuku clutched Bunbun to his chest, looking like he was going to be sick from nerves.
"I promise that you'll like the school," Yamada said gently as he gave up on taming his son's curly chaos. "Plus you'll have Bunbun with you the whole time."
Izuku looked up at him. "Safe?"
Yamada smiled. "Safe just like home. Plus it's full of heroes."
"There gonna be students?" Hitoshi asked between bites.
"No, they're on break right now," Aizawa answered. "It's just staff. We're still looking at schools for you two and our boss thought it would be a good idea for your first couple of weeks were with us relatively close. Plus it will help you start your therapy with Inui."
Hitoshi nodded and went back to his breakfast. Izuku soon joined, the stuffed rabbit still clutched tight. Yamada stole a kiss from his mate before going off to pack a bag for them for the day. Aizawa joined his boys with a cup of coffee, smiling.
"Do you guys do hero work?" Hitoshi asked as he studied his dad.
"We do," Aizawa answered. "But we are on a break right now. The Commission gives new families the first two months together off to bond. More for when there is birth involved."
Izuku blinked. "There are other packs like ours?"
Aizawa smiled into his coffee cup. While Izuku didn't talk much, or very loudly, he was whispering full sentences to them. "Yes, pup. Not all packs are formed by natural birth. Some packs form just like ours did - adoption."
Hitoshi considered it. "Why don't you two have any kids? Male omegas can have babies."
Aizawa hesitated. How did he explain this to children?
"I'm like Izuku," Yamada said as he took his seat next to his mate, smiling. "I can't have a child naturally. I'm infertile, too."
Izuku stared in awe. "Like me?"
Yamada nodded. "Just like you, pup. But I knew I wanted children. We just waited until we felt ready to take care of children. And I'm glad we did because it means we got to meet and bring home the best pups in the world."
