Aizawa would have to buy some chocolate for the poor nurse. The woman had merely stepped in with the supplies when Izuku lost it.
The green eyed boy saw the equipment and the bag of cloudy solution, and he gave a scream before practically throwing himself from the bed.
Hitoshi struggled to keep ahold of him, trying to calm him down. He didn't flinch when Izuku bit at his arm as he tried to get away. Aizawa jumped to his feet and took him into his arms.
"Breathe, problem child," he said as he held the boy firmly. He ignored the teeth trying to bite at his arm and shoulder. "No one is going to hurt you. This isn't like anything they did to you there."
Izuku whimpered when he realized he couldn't get away no matter how he fought and just started crying. Aizawa struggled to think of what to do.
"Izuku," Yamada called. He smiled as he sat on the bed and pulled his sleeve up more. "Look, I'm going to let her do it to me first. She'll explain everything she's doing. I promise it's safe."
The nurse smiled. "So first we clean your skin with this little pad. It'll be cold and smell funny, but it helps get rid of all the germs. Then we put this band around your arm to help me find a good spot."
Izuku sniffled as he watched Yamada's face, though his eyes flickered down to watch the nurse's hands, too.
"Next, I take this needle," she said. "It'll feel like a pinch. And I put it in like this."
Yamada felt eyes on him, and he smiled. "It hurts a tiny bit, but it is already stopping."
Izuku's tears had almost stopped as he watched, though he clung to Aizawa like he would disappear if he let him go.
"Then we hook this bag up," the nurse continued. "It's fluid to help you feel better. It's full of nutrients and good things. It'll make it easier when you start getting regular food again."
She let some of the bag flow through the line into Yamada's arm. He continued to smile, showing Izuku it was safe. The boy still looked distrustful, but he wasn't crying.
"Can I give you the medicine?" The nurse asked. "I'll let your papas stay here. They can even keep holding you."
Izuku thought about it and nodded. Hitoshi moved over as Aizawa sat down beside Yamada with Izuku in his arms. He held his son as the boy let the nurse repeat the process with fresh materials. Yamada set a warm hand on Izuku's knee to add to the comfort. The boy whined at the pinch of the needle, pressing his face into Aizawa's shoulder, but relaxed once everything was set up.
"See?" Yamada smiled. "Everything here is safe when this nice lady brings it to you. And it's going to help you feel better."
Izuku stared at them, his eyes uncertain. Aizawa let himself chuffed and rumble softly as he held their traumatized pup.
"Zuku," Hitoshi said softly. "Your papas need to go. But I'm still here."
Yamada frowned but knew Nemuri had warned them Hitoshi would have a hard time with trust. Aizawa glanced at the purple haired boy as he helped Izuku settle into his friend's side again.
"We're your papas too, kid," Aizawa told him firmly. "You're stuck with both of us."
Hitoshi nodded, but his eyes betrayed he didn't believe it. The adults watched Izuku curl into Hitoshi's side and drift - not really asleep but also not really aware anymore.
The nurse followed them out, shutting the door behind her. She roughly wiped tears from her face.
"Sorry," she sniffled. "My little sister is an omega and..."
