Nemuri led the pair to a door and knocked before opening it. The two boys were seated on the bed, still cuddled together. Both were dressed in sweatpants and t-shirts that actually fit. Aizawa smiled when he saw that Izuku's hair was curly and fluffy, obviously freshly washed, and defied about as much gravity as Hitoshi's hair did.

Izuku's eyes widened and almost seemed to sparkle as he pointed at them while tugging on Hitoshi's shirt. Hitoshi smiled.

"Yep, I told you," Hitoshi laughed. "I told you your favorite heroes saved us."

Izuku made a happily little noise, continuing to point at the two men and look at Hitoshi. Hitoshi continued to quietly confirm that those were, in fact, heroes.

Yamada chirped at the tiny voice and softly spoken words. He pulled away and walked over, bending at the waist so he could be eye level.

"Hey there, little listener," he smiled, using his favorite catch phrase. Izuku started to sort of bounce on the bed, his hands shaking in joy. "It's nice to meet you."

Aizawa joined his mate. "It's good to see you smile, kiddo."

Izuku made more happy noises, bright eyes staring up at them. Hitoshi tapped his shoulder and caught his attention.

"How do you feel about them taking care of you?" Hitoshi asked. "They were wanting to adopt."

The smile was gone in an instant, and Izuku practically wrapped his entire body around Hitoshi. His scent was tainted with distress. Yamada set a warm hand on his back, smiling.

"Both of you are coming home with us," Yamada told him firmly. "We are going to be taking care of both of you."

Izuku looked over his shoulder, green eyes wide and teary. "Real?"

The whispered word made Aizawa smile. He knew they'd been lying when they tried to assure him Izuku couldn't talk.

"Real," the dark-haired alpha assured. "We'll have to take you shopping because we don't really have a lot for kids your age, but I promise we'll get whatever you need."

"And we can make sure you each have your own room or you can share a room," Yamada added. He saw Hitoshi's face, and he smiled. "I mean, who better to help you with a vocal quirk than the voice quirk hero himself?"

Hitoshi blushed and looked down. Izuku continued to hold onto him, making it clear he had no intent to be separated from his friend again.

Nemuri brought the pair chairs so they could sit and talk to the kids. "I'm going to go make sure all the paperwork is done."

She left the little, hopefully permeant, family to get to know each other. Aizawa sat down, relaxing with his mate and their pups.

"So Hitoshi says you like heroes," Aizawa said, addressing the green eyed boy. He smiled at the shy nod. "You know... we know lots of heroes we could introduce you to."

Izuku shifted, so he was facing them a bit more, curiosity outweighing his fear. Yamada caught on.

"Can you tell us your favorite hero?" Yamada asked, curious and also eager to hear that tiny voice again.

Izuku studied them, then blushed down and tucked his face against Hitoshi's side. The bigger boy laughed and hugged his friend.

"His favorite hero is sitting in front of him," Hitoshi grinned. The two men glanced at each other, and both pointed at Aizawa, and Hitoshi nodded. "He likes you because you are a hero without relying on your quirk. It gave him hope that maybe we could grow up and be heroes together."

Aizawa felt his alpha preen at the idea of being someone's favorite hero. Usually, he wasn't even noticed, which made underground work easier. He heard his mate's happy sounds.

"He's my favorite hero too," Yamada smiled.

They both felt proud when Izuku smiled shyly. It also gave them hope that this would really work out for the best. Hitoshi smiled at the smaller boy, still holding him close. He glanced at the two adults.

"I... didn't bite anyone," Hitoshi admitted. "I know you told me not to let anyone touch us...but...Miss Midnight promised that you wanted us to be safe and the doctors here would make us safe."

Yamada smiled. "Good boy. We trust her with our lives and now yours. She made sure that you two got here to get checked out."

Hitoshi nodded and felt Izuku tug his shirt. He leaned in, listening carefully. "Oh, I can ask."

Izuku turned so his face was once again pressed to Hitoshi's side. Yamada cooed at the younger boy as Aizawa quirked an eyebrow up.

"What does our little one need?" he asked.

Hitoshi blushed. "He...wants to know if you can scent him? Like parents would."

Yamada made the happiest little chirp Aizawa had ever heard and smile when the man moved closer until he was kneeling in front of the kids. He waited until Izuku was looking at him.

"Izuku, I would be happy to scent you," Yamada told the boy. "You two are my pups now and your well being is my entire world."

Izuku blushed and meekly held out a wrist. Yamada took it in his much larger hand and then moved his opposite wrist to gently rub the wrists together. He purred when he heard the softest, shyest purr from the baby omega. Once he was done, shy green eyes glanced at Aizawa who gave a soft rumble and reached out his own wrist and added his scent to Yamada's. Izuku smiled, looking more content.

Aizawa glanced at Hitoshi. "We can scent you too, kiddo."

Hitoshi blinked and meekly nodded, offering his own wrist. The two adults repeated the process, letting the two boys feel safter within their joined scents. Aizawa smiled when Yamada added to it by taking off the flannel shirt he'd worn over his t-shirt that day.

"Would you two like to share this? Help stay warm?" Yamada offered. The tiny chirp and chuff from the boys made him want to squeal. Hitoshi took the shirt and wrapped it over their shoulders.

Nemuri returned about that time, smiling. "Aww, aren't you two so cute. Shou?"

Aizawa rose, letting Yamada continue to tend to their kids. "Hey, what's the status?"

"They're yours, but they want to keep them over night," Nemuri told him. "They want to give Izuku some nutrition through an IV and they want to observe Hitoshi because of the collar."

Aizawa frowned. "Can we stay?"

Nemuri shook her head. "I'm sorry, no. You're needed down at the station for statements. Plus they want to limit non-hospital staff because some of the kids have had panic attacks from too many scents. But you should be able to take them home in the morning. Might give you time to replace the baby stuff he got with things more appropriate."

Aizawa nodded, thanked her and walked back over. "Well, you are officially our boys. You never have to go back to that place."

The two stared at him in awe. Yamada wanted to hug them but resisted.

"When can they go home?" Yamada asked.

"In the morning," Aizawa told his mate. "The doctors want Izuku to get some medicine in an IV treatment and just want to keep an eye on them overnight. We can stay until you two are set up, if you'd like."

Hitoshi nodded, feeling Izuku cling tighter at the idea of medicine.

The mated pair helped the boys get settled onto the bed, even scenting the pillows and blankets as much as they could so the scent would hang around. They found a cartoon station, so the kids had something to watch and talked to them about things they liked.

When the nurse came in the start Izuku's IV, things went sour.
