Aizawa knew it had been too good to be true - things had been too quiet this last handful of weeks. Izuku had chosen to take a break from being a 'victim' after what happened, but he continued to train with the rest of his pack, which had officially expanded to include Ekko's entire pack and her potential mates.
Pack nights had become chaotic, but Aizawa knew he wouldn't trade it for the world. His once quiet house was no longer that...but his nephew and pups were starting to show how bright they could shine. Izuku had helped his Uncle Gari update his support item and create a similar version for both of his parents, his aunts, his brother, his best friend, and even one for Ekko. The red head had been touched when she had accepted the gift and promised to keep it close always.
It had taken a trip to the park to make that chaotic peace shatter. The trio of boys were playing a game of heroes and villains with Hawks and Power Loader as the villains. Aizawa and Yamada were enjoying watching the two men - in their civilian clothing despite it not really making Hawks less noticeable - run from the happily cheering children. Jellybean was tucked between the two adults for safety as all three boys were armed with foam swords.
It was this those infuriating bright red wings that triggered Aizawa's latest headache.
Hawks was cackling from the "jail" by the swing set as the trio had "caught" him and were now pursuing their other pack member once more. A small group of kids who had just arrived and noticed him. They rushed over, their noise catching Izuku's attention. Aizawa smiled when he saw his son's eyes brighten and he hurried over to invite the kids to play with them.
"Would you like to play with us? " Izuku's device said.
Before any adult could react, one of the bigger boys turned and shoved Izuku to the ground hard.
"Back up, you stinky omega!" the older boy spat, kicking dirt at the green eyed child. "We're talkin' to the hero!"
Izuku stared up, hurt across his features. Hawks' smile vanished and he pushed past the kids to crouch down beside his nephew.
"Hey, Puffling," he cooed. "You okay?"
Izuku sniffled as he sat up and nodded, letting his uncle check him over. The crowd of kids watched in awe as how gentle and familiar Hawks was with the kid they saw as a stranger. Hawks lifted his nephew into his arms and wrapped his wings around him.
"That's my brave boy," Hawks continued. He glanced at the kids. "That wasn't very nice, kiddos."
The boy who had shoved Izuku glared up at him. "Really? I thought you weren't a weak omega."
Hawks glared down and Aizawa knew his younger pack member was trying not to lose his temper. A loud explosion made the sleepy man groan and his mate cheer as Katsuki literally blasted himself across the playground to tackle the insulting boy.
"I'll show you a weak omega!" Katsuki howled as he threw a strong punch at the boy's face. The two began to fight, kicking up dust.
Hawks sighed as he used some of his feathers to nudge the other kids away before carrying Izuku over to Power Loader, who stood watching with Hitoshi.
"You getting our angry puppy?" Power Loader smiled as he took the sniffling boy from the younger man's arms.
"Yes," Hawks sighed. "I'm letting him dish out a little bit first. I mean who better than our powerful eyas, right boys?"
The brothers nodded, Hitoshi smirking with a dark mirth that Katsuki was defending their pack. Hawks laughed and headed back over casually. He reached down, finally, and plucked Katsuki off the other boy by the back of his shirt.
