Dear Journal,
It's 6 in the morning right now. The ball is tonight. I can't find it in myself to be excited. Margot is still sleeping her life away in the bed beside mine. She needs her beauty sleep.
My dress is hanging from one of the corners of my four-poster and the shoes I bought are tucked under the bed. We had gone with James and Sirius and unfortunately, that meant James convincing me to buy Converse tennis shoes for the ball. They were a muggle brand, sold at a small shop in Hogsmeade that offers some common muggle brands of clothing, shoes, and accessories. He couldn't convince Margot though. Not after she bought herself a tiara.
Margot is insisting on doing my hair and makeup. I figured why not? She's gone on two dates with the Gryffindor boy who asked her to the ball. I still don't even know his name. She doesn't talk about him a ton.
